I tried many things, specially the one with, if the earliest version is 3.5.5.7, in global I add previous 3.5.5.6 but still error.

Check config of autoupdate in global.cfg
make sure your update server is online
check filename and content
sometimes you have to add "/" without quotes in config so it will be /autoupdate/launcher/lversion.ver
but it not routine
update is on

added "/" and the same error tmlversion.ver from "bin" folder.
tru to download file by browser (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80/autoupdate/[...] )if file will dl normally then ok otherwise check permissions to this wile (like chmod) if ok and still get error then send me on pm your global.cfg

I have the same error with my local ep 3.5 and 4.2 servers, ftp via xampp is working perfectly but http not
Well, the ftp does the same thing for me as well. I tried a lot of different ftps, https, still the same error.
I'm using Xampp local on my PC, ftp is working fine and http throws me the 0.0.0.0 version error and the tmlversion error, on "my" root ftp is in 30% of all try's working and with http i have the same errors as on my local pc
I had the same problem!
As I opened the client, it seemed to me an error that said to re-download the client blah blah 0.0.0.0
I do not know if it was luck, but I solved it
I restarted xamp, checked the file "tmlversion" (on server folder and on httdocs "XAMP" folder) is present and that there is written inside the right version.
Only after I started the server and now it all works.
PS i use http download metod
Ok i did some researches in the Source....the Error Handling is such a crap...so it's impossible to find the error without a new compiled server (i think so)
