Much to ask. But new "model system"
So, i was wondering if someone could help work on a project with me.
To edit the engine to support direct importation of .OBJ Files, and where i can import models of any type. As of now, you can only use .SCO with only triangle polygons or some sh*t.

Well, to be honest, i wanna be able to download models from free 3DS Max website, and download the obj, and use it, because sometime when i go to convert it, i get errors.
Put it into 3ds use exporter plugin and gg? what errors

You get errors because you're doing it wrong!
and there's a huge difference between critizing someone and point out how rediculously stupid their statement was.. 3D technology never knew and never will know anything past triangulation... if you ever thought differently because you were influnced by common 3d editors, well, WYSISWYG only counts for the appearance, a simple plane will ALWAYS remain nothing more than 6 points that make 2 triangles that appear to be connected. At least in current day and age.

Well, if u need someone to start a new project with you, then u can join me, I am with a group of 8, and we r trying to COMPLETELY re-write the engine and make it into a whole new game, and not an "Emulator", yes I do have devs who actually went to college for this stuff, message me for more info "m70b1jr" if u want to join :)

Well just saying if your really going to put in the "effort" to re-write this entire engine to make an new game why not just use unity/udk/cryengine as i'd assume you would want to publish it?, well since your using there engine does not matter how much you change it its still there engine, so either way you can find your self in a legal bind, so if your serious about doing a new game suggest just making one in one of the game engines above.
As ultimately i think a few of those engines if not all are better then eclipsestudio anyways good luck with your choice, just figured i would offer some friendly advice, as i've seen many claim that if you edit the eclispestudio engine that it becomes "A new engine" and then its no longer property of hammerpoint and that is when i lose my shit can't stop laughing :lol:

Sorry, and thank you. I get errors when trying to convert with bubbles program. I can't find a plugin for 3ds Max 2013.

Thanks for the advice, but what I am trying to do is not really an entirely new game, but our own custom version of WarZ, the way it should have been done, but it won't be "WarZ" since we will change almost everything, textures, sounds, maps, clothes, main menu design, guns, zombies, anims etc... so it will be something like Gmod and Rust, diff game, same engine. and I have tried all the engines u have suggested, hard as hell XD

To be honest, i hate SDK's, i hate to use them, and all the tutorials on Youtube make me go to sleep. Unless i can have someone in person help teach me, then yea, i'd be nice. I'd love to make a zombie MMO game in Unreal Engine.

There is no plugin for 2013.. only for 2011 and 2012.
download 3D Studio Max 2012 and work with it. It's not like you'll notice a difference anyway and it'll get the job done. (much better too, because the bleble's program fails to compile normal maps for some strange reason)

Let me know what you're up to. If it's interesting I'll consider to contribute. After all, I doubt that there's people here better at working with assets than me.

We have been working on this since September 2013, A thread might be up soon, this IS NOT going to be focused on PVP, we r trying to balance it with survival, we r trying to add as much detail into the world, for example when u go into a house there might be blood everywhere, tables flipped, broken chairs etc... and not one house will have the same interior design. 90%-All custom content (We r just gonna re-texture the zombies and give them new animations, but we r not gonna create new models for them, same with the guns, characters and items/objects, we will also have new custom scripted items, and I have seen your work :) ur Youtube vids helped me get started, so thanks :) and good luck with "Shard" :) (I think that's what its called)
