[Emulator] Seeking Assistance

I'm currently working on an emulator and I'm looking for someone who knows a lot about the game and how the servers work. Mostly how the servers work.
I have some things fully working. But I lack the general know-how of how the game/servers, so I can only get so far.

I've never played this game before, and really don't have any interest in the game itself. Someone hired me to add a feature to their launcher that required a custom login server.
So I emulated the login server and that was that. Now I'm currently working on the Account and world as a simple learning experience. I'll probably either sell or release the files if/when it's complete.

and almost newbe and leecher who are active lately (including me :P:)

but there's source (old source/old server) in release section,
perhaps you can learn something for your emulator there??

I got the account server working today. The only thing left to do is work on the World Server. I'll see if I can get it working with the latest client.

I need someone who's willing to test the files while I'm working on them. If you're interested, toss me a pm.

the most critical the scene needs is most likely login and account ( and those don't deal with too much of the game code itself).

That would open up more control over launchers and login.
Does the emulated account interact properly with the original/default zoneserver and loginserver?

I've moved away from that. I still have the source though(I think), I'll probably release it.
It allowed the zone server to connect to the emulator, which like you said, if tweaked would allow you to handle login how ever you want.

The login, account and world were all one server. I didn't see a need to separate them because they used almost no resources.

Progress is moving steadily along. I'd like someone to create and manage a forum, as I work on the source I can't really do it my self. If you're interested toss me a pm. Hosting and everything is already taken care of.
