My top two contenders would definentally be Final Fantasy XI and Lineage 2. Both games have their pros and cons, in fact those two games are pretty much opposites to each other.
Lineage 2 is very PvP oriented and involves lots of time "grinding" (usually solo, depends) but becomes funnest at higher levels when you find a nice clan and start participating in clan activities like castle sieges and boss / dungeon raids. L2 has great support for clans allowing clan leaders (or members with permission) the ability to manage member access to clan warehouses, clan property, and allowing clan leaders to upload a crest which is visible next to all member's names.
Final Fantasy XI on the other hand is a party and quest oriented game which focuses on leveling with at least 4 to 6+ other people. After about level 12 you'll find that you won't be going very far without finding a party (Although soloing is possible with pretty much every class parties are generally faster). This game too gets funner at higher levels when you gain the right to participate in Ballista (team based PvP matches, a sport of sorts) and lengthy, but fun, quests that require over 8 active participants. Personally, I found FFXI to be very addicting and love it to no end. The only issue I have with FFXI is the lack of support for clans, which are virtually nonexistant. "Linkshells" consist of a world-wide chat function and a colored pearl that hovers next to your characters name, that's about it. In FFXI the completion of a quest earns you "fame" for the country in which you completed it. As you become ever more popular with the local NPCs you will have access to new and better quests. The conquest and auction house systems also add an interesting feel to this game, but I'm not going in-depth about those or this post would never end =_=;.
I currently subscribe to both of these games, as I have been doing for a long time ^^.

Ahhhh!!.. Here's the game's i already tried, Dragon Raja, WOW, L2, GuildWar(Have it didn't get chance to play) because stupid video card anyway.. plan to get FFXI then seem everyone is saying how fun they are.. and I cannot satified my SELF for some reason etheir i'am alway's solo on Roleplays to got me Bored SO DAM fast.. and on each game i can lvl so dam faster even when i'am noob~(Guessing was base on time how i sit my ass here and kept on clicking) now I guess if anyone are currently playing Etheir GuildWar, L2, Or FFXI.. please let me know help me out maybe? i needz friends T.T
On the topic of some of the worst MMOs I've played, I didn't feel City of Heroes was very good, if anyone here has played that, I just feel it lacks some of the basic things that make MMORPGs fun (Like items and an economy...). I played around the time where the Arena was being introduced on the test server. The arena is a fun feature but it still doesn't make up for the gap in my opinion.
Hrmmm... that's interesting.. :) YOu know i wish sometime's at the point where i win an lottery or something NOT Too Greedy 250K would do.. however.. broke as it is.. T.T No money for other's saving for college funds.... POOR~ME!!!

Conquer Online / Lineage 2 / wow are all good ones to try out.
LOL! i played COnquer Online got my lvl up to 98 then quit Lineage 2 palyed on ragezone server was fun for awhile but felt so lonely~.. WOW Alliances(Elf Warrior lvl 60 in one month quit) and anything else 0.o~~:D now i'am trying Guild WAR!!.. and oh btw playing SIlkRoad ATM if you people want's to hang give me whisper on RedLeaf ;) later all!
