System Messages change

Hi guys. How to change the automatic system messages?
Version 1.4.8

What automatic system message do you wnna change? Like you can make your own automatic system message by shouting a jsp file through the server by .sh file from crontab..

thats on the forums here pretty good explained go take a look :p

event/trigger based announcements are from aipolicy.data

system announcements are stored inside interfaces.pck


General rule of thumb:
If it has a variable in it, such as a persons name, its interfaces.

i need to know how to do this to but for 1.5.1 and how can i get rid of the santa claws spam

Edit it in AIpolicy, its on forum for what ID you have to look..

Actually, thats a bigger issue than how you are thinking about it.

The messages are the result of the event being activated all the time, so go to npcgen.data and disable the event.

with what editer?

i found about 45 of them, which one is the correct one

I'm going to go ahead and say work it out for yourself.
Theres threads all over this forums giving informations on editors, and finding it is just trial and error.

some updated guides tools would me nice

It's not about being selfish, its about having some feeling with what you are doing for the most part. Like a few ppl helped me but for the rest you gotta figure out alot yourself because no one is gonna keep your hand forever.

No offense but i helped him before, but when you don't have any basis of the game and you don't even know which client version to use then people should start thinking twice about what they are doing.

I can't do everything either but atleast i search my ass off on these forums and read alot and tbh it got me quiet far. i can edit enough to know what i'm doing;

I went from crashing server every five minutes to my server barely crashing anytime.

There is alot of stuff on this forum that might be outdated yes, but it explains enough to start with and when you know something about the game you should be able to lay the link with how stuff works.

All i can say.

Try getting sTools by Ronny. The tools made by him will edit most things....

You will need the npcgen.data inside the world folder from the server, cant remember what trigger id's they are but it has been discussed on this forum a few times.
