UberCMS - Jonty's Badgeshop 2.0
Hi,
I am deciding to leave, or at least for now take a break from retros and development. I know I haven't released anything/much on RaGEZONE in regards to retros, but I've developed and edited a lot for UberCMS, including things such as (which I may release): Referral system, lottery, vault, custom top users script, and some other backend codes to prevent hackers/exploits and such.
This release is a updated version of Jonty's UberCMS badge shop. It includes features such as preventing users from purchasing multiple of the same badge, balance display and some other small code edits.

Enjoy, have fun. More releases may come soon.

It is simple but thanks for releasing.

I don't see how it's 'simple' since it is not just running a MySQL query when a button is clicked, but it checks to see if the users has credits, if they already own the badge, etc.. But no worries.

No worries, hope you and others appreciate this as much as I did for my hotel.
Re: UberCMS - Jonty's Badgeshop 2.0
Calculating the balance first isn't going to do much good besides being helpful to the user, who is normally aware of his or her credit balance.
Also why do all this spoonfeeding? People should figure out how to do this themselves.

I for one I never really pay attention of my current balance. It's useful for the user to know how much he/she has to spend on badges. What if you think you have more than you already do? And want to buy multiple badges, OOPS!! No credits left. Just makes it easier all round, making it more user friendly and more professional.
Also I don't see how it's spoonfeeding because he's releasing this on his own part, not because someones been begging him constantly. If people want to learn how to do this they can themselves. No ones forcing them to use this.
Good release Rival :) Like and rep from me

It is spoonfeeding cause it's such a simple accomplishment.
Those are all anecdotal reasons for the fact that it's already pretty useless to calculate it.
Re: UberCMS - Jonty's Badgeshop 2.0
@FullmetalPride - People like you is what make people want to release their stuff, because you say it's spoonfeeding and features in the release are 'useless' as you say. It's not really spoonfeeding, because the whole community relies on releases and such to keep everything flowing. I released it under my own will, hoping it will help a small hotel or someone who can't code.
And as for the display of the credit balance, not all users are going to be aware of their balance, and since you have to have the client closed in order to buy badges, they can't go into the client to check their balance so instead it will have their current balance on the page to inform them. I can guarantee it's worth it in the long run.
@Damien Jolly - Hope you liked it, and it helps you out in some way.

Why would you even consider putting advertisement boxes there? I know it's for localhost (At least I'd hope..) but still.. Retros with ads are retros that just want money and never get far.
Other wise, easy work that can sometimes prove harder to be then what it seems ;) Well done amigo. Be careful releasing things how ever, you'll mainly get beyond constructive criticism.

I placed it there as a placeholder. :)
Well I've seen so many retros use Jonty's badge shop, which doesn't provide these basic functions (to prevent users from buying the badge multiple times). And I am completely aware of that ;)
Re: UberCMS - Jonty's Badgeshop 2.0
still not a good release. why align 1 badge per line. theres a efficient way to align the badges. 6/10
