Story hosting.

Has anyone else been looking for a good place, other than fictionpress.com, to get your story(ies) hosted? No, I'm not giving out an answer, though I wish I was, because then I'd have it myself.. >< It's hard to find an actual place, that doesn't require some kind of money or BS, to get your story hosted, original, or fan based.

So does anyone know any good, free, story hosters?

Last time I tried fictionpress.com, it's server(s) were horrid. If it DID get the chapter uploaded, it took forever and a day before you saw it, and then some before you even saw your editing shown.. <_<

And yes, I realize there are web-sites that offer hosting, where I could make the web-site myself and host it myself, but I'm more or less looking for one of those good community sites... Hell, if this place had an Authors forum... <.< I mean, art is just as much in the word as it is in the image.
