Seriously, Xbox 360 is so popular at the moment that ppl are welling to pay 3k for it over the internet due to low supplies at local retailer stores. People these days are retards, thats all i can say.

pff dude he's pulling in 1.68 mil a year depending on how many people he attracts personally i agree with kazari, i would've did the same thing if i was remotly interested in that game (which im not... it was an odd one)
Ok ok, i never heard about this game, but they are making real cash or is this just plain game cash?
the ingame cash can be converted into real cash, the guy paid $100k in real cash and wass making $15 a day in real cash from the island he purchased earlier.
I don't get it... real cash conversion? How does it work? Does the owners of Project Entropia personally allow you to convert your $ from digital to real by using cash out of their own pockets? I can understand 1.68 million ingame CREDITS then selling those off for real cash... but talking about a 1 = 1 scale of the cash here is kind of crazy. I mean, those hunters making $500 a day are getting rich too then (Assuming they are also capable of trading on a 1:1 scale)... exactly what's going on?
Edit: Nevermind... just read some info in the website and apparently its a 10:1 scale, whereas every $10 gives you $1 REAL US money. It's quite fun to look at really... anyway, to the point- it appears that at 1.68 mill creds, that would be ~168k a year which isn't too bad if it does come out that way, since you're earning ~14k passive income a month.
http://www.mindark.com/about_PE_e.htmlQuote:
PE is currently the only game in the world offering a convertible currency, where the user can exchange money won in the virtual world into real money. Each PED can be easily exchanged to the US dollar at a rate of 10:1.
Each player has an account in PE from which payments for goods and services can be made.
The account also receives profit or payments which the player obtains.
Transactions between players, for example buying and selling of goods, is paid via the player ’s account in PE. If a player wants to convert their PED to USD this is simply achieved by a request to MindArk.
In the future it may be possible to offer players the chance of buying and selling real goods and services via the player ’s account in PE. The opportunity of establishing a global Internet bank via PE is obvious.
Yeha he is crazy no mater what. This was posted once befor btw ^^ I remeber very well this crazy guy :p

this has been posted before, or something simliar
nah that was in another game. It was eve online, except they toppled a corporation and took over it. They didnt make as much as this guy.
What I don't get, is that Project Entropia is a free game. Where the hell is it's company getting the money from? I'm sure they can't just go to the bank and be all like, "Yes, we'd like to exchange our (fake) country's credits to your currency."
<_<
Was interested and read up on some of it this morning, and from what i've gathered... it's not too pretty. Although it seems nice that you can make money while you play, the truth is after a while it seems like a drug... one that drains your wallet. If you don't pay about $10 when you first start off, you'll be stuck gathering "Sweat" items for about 20+ hours just to buy some beginner equipment. If you do pour in $10, then you'll need about $20 more cause you'll blow it trying to so anything significant. Eventually, you'll have all these nice things, but you need to MAINTAIN then constantly cause they decay. Eventually, you're pouring money into maintaining your items to the point where all your ingame income is spend on maintinence and then some from your wallet. Pretty much after that, the money becomes 1-way. They seem to maintain new-comers with all these new cool-sounding things- things like UberMonsters that can drop thousands of PED, equalling a good $100 - 1000 for you... unfortunately theres about a half a-dozen a month, which fortunately for them is enough to fill some slight advertising space on their website. I'm just avoiding it for now, since like much of the people seem to think of PE as a gamble now.
i tried project entropia once i didnt put any real money into it so i was sittin there tryin to get sweat...which is so dumb cause not even succesful a lot and then the monsters come after and sense they dont give you anything to protect yourself you gotta run till he stops following or run into deep water so it drowns >.> thats why its such a lame game if u dont put money into it
Even if I had all bill gates's money I wouldn't ever buy that for over $10... It would just be stupid
No it was arledy posted befor for project entropia I know and bottem kicker is right. It wasnt posted for eve online =.=Quote:

I started playing that game but it was impossible to gain money. Sweating seemed to take FOREVER!!!!
and I dont have money to start acually playing the game. Except I might in the near future when I turn 18.
Making this game your life could be alot of fun!
update:
i just starte playing the game and i have put no money into it
gaining sweat is easy, u just need a little patience, not bad considering its cost me nothing, so far i have been able to sell sweat and ill have a gun soon with which to defend myself, so i dont have2 run so often, i explored a little and found mobs that dont always chase you, easy to get sweat off them that way.
if i die it cost me nothing and it takes me right back tot own where i can sell my sweat and go back out again
keep us updated, I might start playing :D
willdo m8 ^^Quote:

The only problem with this game is that the action is a little low I mean its better then meny mmorpgs but you cant compare it to an fps.
omfg this guy is a genius.
but if he gets hacked...
that would suck

heh same as this guy in sydney bought a virtual island for like $25k aud or something..
Would rather spend my $100,000 on a trip to a real space station in the future.
But the trip would possess no value for the future in terms of investment!!!Quote:

I still think its a very bad Idear to make your investments inside a virtual world since firt of all you canot touch it with the same money you could probly buy an apartment and rent it and make profit as well and I doubt that he is making egnuf money off it compare to if he was doing omthing in real life.
His investment would go to waste unless they have a way to upgrade the game to neew engin or the gfx would be boring quite fast.
I arledy dont like to buy vidio games in real life so I dont think that its a good idear spending so much money on virtual no mater what ok its sure he couldnt buy a real space station in real life.
I played this game ran all over the map is quite big and I think they are adding some too well thats the positive side of thiss game meny meny updates.

Stop protecting the game I went a lot furter then just the firt gun my accont is still there with a lot of money on it but im keeping it for if it ever get intresting I kinda got bored of it.
And dont hink you will be making money off the game unless your lifless and can spend all day in front of your pc.
Both of you are right... and wrong, the game does make money for some people, but there are maybe .001% that actually do. He is probably part of this .001%, and the rest like Gabrieth said, have no chance unless they do spend their entire life in front of the comp while making a couple of bucks at max. I disagree with the fact you think it's stupid to not invest it in something else. Real estate and virtual estate as it now seems, both make money. The problem is how you're going to devote yourself to maintain it so it does. If this guy has a ton of fun playing the game, then it's tons better than buying an apartment that you would rather torch before cleaning up and making it in sellable condition.
