yes. if you have dynamic ip you have to patch server all time when your connections on internet is down or restart also if you use a dns for ip (client side) some time can take 2-10-15 min to update with new ip (you have to put manually on website(dns)) also dont help you on ddos atack or other atack bcz is easy to know the ip from server. and if you have static ip you dont need to make noting from what i say above.
