I don't see any large difference between steam or non steam CS only that steam has many more users. Steam isn't anymore "secure" then non steam , infact ive played cleaner non steam servers then any steam server and you don't have the anoying steam engine to load to lag your CPU up. Anyhow theres still tons of people that play both steam and non steam counter strike , you can't say "it sucks" when really it doesn't ;)
i can say it sucks when it does ;)
steam has so much more going for it, when it 1st started it was a big step back but now theyve actually worked on it, it has been better for a loooooong time
however i no longer play 1.6 or below, only css
non steam its sux just buy steam :P
