Need Help With V117.2 Server
Whats up RageZone! I know the maplestory server's are kinda dying off, but I still like to come here for awesome information and I have had great experience in the past with help from here.... Okay so here is my problem, I load up the server (no BAT errors or anything) get to the character screen, log in and has soon as my character touches the ground... I get the invalid pointer error. I tried making a new character, moving the character to a new map, log in fix, unstuck. Not sure what causes this, but I am guessing it has to do with WZ and XML's and what not. So I tried 2 clean WZ's and what not and that didn't seem to be the problem. So I am not too sure what is going on here, but if someone could help that would be great! I have also tried different clients as well. Trying to problem solve before I come and ask for help, but it seems to me I am out of options.

Something is being loaded with an invalid id of some sort. As far as I'm aware, your repack originally used custom wz and since you're using normal wz, it's probably the cause.

That is what i figured it was when i couldn't find any valid answers or fixes. Thanks I wonder if @chunkarama still has those.... Probably not.... Well poop!

If your character is new and not wearing anything weird, you shouldn't DC. The creation of characters isn't anything custom, and the starting map is Map 0. I know that for a fact this works on regular v117 WZ's because I tested it on clean ones before releasing it. Your v117 folder may be corrupted, if not, try changing your map in the database to henesys.

I do not think it is my maplestory v117 folder because I had one of my players go on and he got the same thing as I did. And I moved the character to henesys and that did not work. What I find weird is that I was able to go in game and move around and play (there was just no drops or npcs talking back) when I was on Java 8.... ID i used: 100000000

Lol if you could play on Java 8 then you can play on Java 7. I'm running Java 7 for that source and I've yet to experience a DC. Did you change something in the source? Maybe a welcome message, a mapid, an item, something? There's server welcome messages that some might dc at certain lengths because of the packet, some totems run custom effects on packets, etc.

No, but i will check again when i get home from my classes tonight. I changed a couple messages to my needs but ill change them and see if thats the problem or not.I do not want to give up on this source due to the fact I have been working for days on end on it trying to find out what the problem is and it also meets my requirements.
