CMS question

Hello, this is my first post at ragezone! I've been lurking around for about 6-7+ years for various help here and there with small projects and haven't decided to be apart of the community until just recently. Now, I've been thinking about using some kind of forum type software such as MyBB, phpBB, vBulliten, etc, etc.. as your CMS in a sense, and connecting your client directly to the forum, so by creating an account on the forum you would in turn add the user to your database then your Emulator would pick up on that and you could just enter the client directly from the forum via button or whatever. Is this possible? Is it even worth the time and trouble? What are your guys' thoughts? Thanks in advance for any replies and it's great to be apart of the community!
