[REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
Hi all,
I spent about 3 months coding for fresh hotel and was then fired for no reason, cutting my income in half so ive now decided to release the emulator i spent months on for a sort of 'fuck you' at the owner.
Probably easily the best r63a emulator out there.. features below
- Over 150 bugs fixed from the original bfly source
- Runs off a phoenix database
- You can turn into any pet
- Many many custom commands (20+)
- Stable as fuck, runs for days/weeks/however long you want it to run for
- Bots workin
- Pets workin
Commands -
- Events alert
- Sit
- Lay
- Staff Alert
- Redeem hand
- Global pixels
- IP ban
- disable follow
- enable follow
- kissing
- slap ass
- faceless
- facepalm
- roomsay
- idle
- addtag
- getstaff
- bancount
- poof
- transform (pets)
- dropkick
- party
- emptypets
- emptyfriends
- back (opposite of idle)
- sellroom
- masspixels
- accept
- flushbots
- propose
- accept proposal
- decline proposal
- rig dice
- sex
- smokeweed
- givepoints
- winner
- balance
- verified
- hug
- howmanyrooms
- regid
Fresh now runs off a decompiled version of this not the official one so here is the official v3.2.1
The wired has not been fixed, and the pathfinder needs a little work. This emulator is probably the best shit related to r63a released in a long ass time
https://mega.co.nz/#!UNpCFChR!n5Hm4Z...0VJ5dA-3Joz928
SQLs for db conversion are included in the rar. You might have to add a couple columns but thats about it.
Used on https://fresh-hotel.org/
Enjoy

Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
Not sure how amazing this will be but it looks decent. I will give it a try on my localhost see how much has been done with it.

Why, just why, just why would anyone do this, why? Mfw.
Edit:
Oh, I didn't read the part about you being drunk. Explains everything.

Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
Is there alot of bugs on it? One of fresh reasons of hiring Ben to fix bugs etc

Wired is fucked. Apart from that, everything is fine i'm pretty sure. They're working off a decompiled copy of this so i'm not surprised its buggy on there.

I'm not sure if you are talking about the fact it uses a Phoenix DB or the fact i released it at all
None the less, R63A is outdated now and the owner of Fresh doesnt seem to care to have a working relationship anymore as he has this emu and replaced me after all the work i did for a cheaper worker and i have no need for this emu so here it is
Gives Sulake 1 more reason to fuck you in court btw :)

Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
You didnt have to post this jonteh @Jonteh anyway this is an old version. I dont think muscab has the decompiled version.

I hope the infractions given out serve their purpose and get people to posting spam or using foul language. Anymore and the thread is closed as well that user infracted.

Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
Thanks for all the work you put into this. Inb4 there's exploits in this. Learn to check and fix them your damn self. I doubt there is any. Cheers brother.

It is an older version, yes. And yes, Muscab is using a decompiled version. I know, because I worked on it also as he refused to add fixes to the proper source and decided to continue on a decompiled version.
Look at it yourself if you have the access.
And yes, I did have to post this. Why should someone be able to get rid of me and think they can keep my work for themselves? Fuck that.

Thanks for this, might test it on localhost!

Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
It's written by Jonteh, and, everyone knows that Jonteh always thinks about architecture and structure, he doesn't just hack things together and hope for the best! Thus this is IMO the best release ever, it's a piece of software we as a community really gain from, because, now, we finally have a stable base to build upon!
Thanks Jonteh for saving the retro community and not just release a worthless piece of turd that has been raped by too many people already!

Just waiting for the standard reply from the hotel owner: "This is outdated anyway".
Havent looked at the source, but I guess it is a nice release. What do you mean by "Wired is still fucked up?". What is missing etc?

Emulator is fine & works but its like 5 builds away aha here is all its missing that we've got live on current hotel :- https://fresh-hotel.org/fixes.pdf
As for those who are having connection issues think you're missing this table ;p
CREATE TABLE `emu_lottery` (
`id` int(11) NOT NULL DEFAULT '1',
`jackpot` bigint(255) DEFAULT NULL,
`lastwinner` varchar(255) DEFAULT NULL,
`lastnumber` varchar(255) DEFAULT NULL,
`lastprize` bigint(255) DEFAULT NULL,
`nextdraw` varchar(255) DEFAULT '0'
) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1;

Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
@Jonteh Can you relase a fixed db?
-
Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
Put some effort in to in guys.. jesus. People just expect to be served, served served. Use your god damn brain and fix the errors.
-
Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
Don't expect to have a successful hotel if you cannot code guys ffs. Try to fix the problems, it works fine.
-
Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
-
Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
Works fine over here with DB Jonty supplied (and a few added things by going through error log),
and with Johno's database. Don't expect to be spoon-fed the whole way, doing it yourself will help you learn for the future.

Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
I talked to Lisa the owner of Tardis and she said not to use this because it has a room glitch bug, There is a redeem credits exploit and a trading exploit.

Thats correct. Several exploits in this emulator. AWA can confirm :)

I never said trading I said market place and that was between me and you I didn't mean for you to come on this thread and tell them, they can figure it out themselves.

Here's the glitch:
If you keep open the redeem credits box and pick up the furni then press the button you get the coins and keep the furni.

P.S. Jonty you were fired for banning people if they refused to give you nudes (& for the people wondering, no it wasn't just one person it was at least 12).
I actually banned 2 people but its cool bro. I didn't want nudes off the girl, I was trolling. Have Skype logs of me and Craig laughing about it- sorry that you take the internet srs for 2 random sluts who send their tits to everyone LOL.
Its cool tho, you ruined my Emulator with your shitty updates (minus wired, good work on that) and i dont want any more to do with it

Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
New Commands & Better Stability .. Could be done by a decent C# themselves but thanks Jonty.
Wouldn't use it though, the code is probably messy.
-
Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
@Jonteh Nice work on the emulator, thanks for the release.
Lets try and avoid any other issues and stick the the threads topic which is the emulator

You wouldn't know messy code if it slapped you in the face.
Feel free to read it, it's clean as fuck. No documentation, though.

Yes, Groups is coded. I do believe you need to uncomment a line I commented related to prepping a user for the room load, which adds the groups of the room into a dictionary.

lol.
Going to be honest...
The only thing i really like about you is your signature... on an unrelated note, Your code may be "clean" to the extent but don't act like your methods were the best...
1. Calling functions for each command equals the most unnecessary method in the world
Next time, you should use a better method... even a switch case i suppose would be better than that. I suggest using class per command next time.
2. Even though your Queries were clean, They're about 500 people on fresh...
Automatically updating the query makes no sense when a user gets married, thats why we have a save function on the user logout to save fields that were loaded on the login...
Cache the Marriages on the user login with an Dictionary and if your emulator doesn't close frequently, process it in the game loop
Basically what I'm trying to say is to run your queries before hand and after hand.
3. Most of your commands are missing null references.
4. Spacing out the code doesn't mean the code is clean
After Looking at this emulators Habbo class, It makes no sense to me how anyone in their right mind hasn't changed the way this is coded... This is fucking Butterfly... Didn't mmartinentadsadsadf make a thread about how to improve butterfly? One big topic was Object Orientation "private/public" getters/setters will be nice thx kbye
5. No documentation... At all
Tbh... I have nothing more to say about this release, facepalm.
Jonty, Next time release something we can give thanks for instead of another reason to be fucking annoyed with you. o/
6. No Errors nor Exceptions...
What If I'm a user and I accidentally use the wrong database, suddenly trying to parse your command.. and its like "Oh, oh... Jonty can I have some help?"
I don't think anyone in their right mind would want to use this...

I have no intention on using this emulator, I was just giving my criticism about how the emulator can be improved, Remember this is RageZone
Hopefully coming up with all those comments on the emulator in just a few minutes would teach jonty on how to actually improve the next time if there is a v2 or whatever

It's an issue with almost every emu. The emu sets online count to the count of active connections, so they can just connect a lot of times. The easiest way to counter this is to set a limit for connections per IP.

It will be a layer 7 attack, most most probably a post attack, I would advise you get a proxy that is not hosted on ovh or anyone reselling OVH as they do not prevent layer 7.

Most likely they attack on the emulator port.

Either that or pull the amount of users with online='1' in the db and cache it for a while instead of running off the client count which is actually buggy enough in Butterfly.

Drop anny connection immediately if they have requested x amount of times before over a certain amount of time and there are no users logged in with that IP.

With that being said, more sophisticated flooding attacks can be made if one knows the implementation of the server... so I reckon there is more depth to the attack that Tardis is receiving, however, extending upon the previously mentioned basic attack.
In all seriousness though, your absent knowledge of socket programming should worry you since you have taken upon yourself to develop the sequel to Butterfly/Uber. If this is a preview of the sophistication of the implementation powering your network classes in your project then I am worried.
To give this solution an analogy; all you're doing is changing the phone extension, however, once the new phone extension is known the attack can continue... you goof ball :glare:
See above. There are software solutions (i.e. changes to your emulator) that can fix your online count, however, I suggest you setup a proxy server that can properly mitigate network requests; as far as I am aware this solution is best implemented with a piece of hardware. Discuss the specifics with your hosting provider.
Doesn't necessary have to be full duplex Mr. 'Look At The Cool Words I Know'. Clould be half or simple too depending of the setup of the endpoint user.
To flood an emulator you need to create a large amount of sockets without closing them OR send a lot of packets without sanding ACK and FIN.

Better known as SYN flood :)

We coded it to drop the connection if the first packet from that IP isn't the policy request. Worked well :)

Setting the Z to 0,65 will cause an error. It should be 0.65 which is a valid double.

Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
Emulator has more bugs than the original R96C source I swear to god, must be from his database changes. It got to the point I converted my database back over to Phoenix, and begun updating commands myself. I don't recommend this.

Emulator has actually over 50 bugs fixed from the original r96c you just don't know how to set it up properly. Those aren't the ONLY db changes you need to make. Why don't you help yourself out and check the error logs?

Re: [REL] Fresh Emulator - Butterfly - Stable - Phoenix DB
I've the solution for the z: edito in roomitemhandling: ]roomItem2.GetY,
", z=",
TextHandling.GetString(roomItem2.GetZ),
", rot=",
roomItem2.Rot
You must edit roomitem2.GetZ with texthandling

I think The Generals post covers this by linking to this thread:

All our posts keep getting deleted by the nobrain mod for no reason
This emulator is great if you want to keep coding it, we have fixed alot of the bugs out of it and it's running really well.
