Displaying Potential in v83
Hello,
I'm looking for ways to display potential stats in v83.
I tried using setOwner but it doesn't look very good, it seems to have a max length of like ~10 characters and always adds an ´ at the end. Is there any way to change that?
I also tried looking for a way to put it in the item description, but I checked in addItemInfo and it doesn't set the description there, only stuff like owner, stats, etc.
Does anyone have an idea what could work for this?
Re: Displaying Potential in v83
The only thing even remotely close to what you're looking for on an item is the owner in v83. The only way to edit the way it's displayed would be to edit the client and change the string there.
Re: Displaying Potential in v83
Okay so I replaced every occurence of 's (that's what it puts behind the owner's name) with 'd in an attempt to find it.
But it didnt' work, it still says stuff like Str 3% Luk 2% Hp 's on the item description. And I left all the 'd in there where it didn't cause the client to be broken.
So does that mean the string is not in the client? Or is it somehow encoded in all that gibberish that's in there? I have no idea what to try next :(:

Youre putting a lot of effort on something thats just not worth it. It's gonna look bad either way and frankly theres nothing you can do about it.
you can work on a v88-v95 if you want old content with potentials

I get your point but v83 has just enough new content for me that it's barable, I don't want to deal with even newer versions.
The potential system I want to add to v83 is completely different from the official one. I just call it that because it has stat percentages.
Anyways I'll try to figure it out, there has to be some way.
Edit: Turns out I should've used stredit, using it I found the 's.
