Need a little help
I know this community might not be what it use to be but I am using 343's 1.3.6 release.
I have tried to open his release's element data file with ever program that is available on the pw_dev.iso and have not been able to open it at all. I have tried using the element data that came with one of the programs sELedit on the program disc and was able to open them but tried the server element data and it gave an error and did not open.
I also have tried moving NPC's around with sNPCedit and used the debug command to get the coords of where I wanted the npc's to spawn. I tried restarting the map that I edited the NPC's on and they did not move at all. Is there something that has to be done to get them to respawn on the map?
I also would like to know which file holds the NPC quests as there are some NPC's that I wish to remove some quests on and there is an NPC within cube that gives the wrong Die for that room and needs to be corrected as well.
*edit* after many attempts of trial and error as well as crashing the server a few times. I was able to get a working element data editor for both client and server. I did some modifications to the element.data file and was able to get them to auto patch to the client with no issue.
I still however and having a problem getting NPC's to spawn where they should after tweaking their coords. Could be that they have already been spawned and I don't know if there is a despawn to respawn command. I also found out that a lot of the NPC quest info is stored within the element.data which I did not know prior to getting a working program that allows me to actually open it.
The next biggest hurdle is getting custom items into the game. I have done some searching and did not find anything helpful as far as that goes. When I mean custom items I don't mean taking a brand new item and putting it into the game. What I mean is taking an existing item and changing it to where it can be called from within the game through the boutique. */edit*
*edit* after a lot of trial end error I was able to fix all these issues */edit*
