Hi Friends. I release these rare files for nostalgic people.

Description (From Wikipedia) :

"Shining Lore, also known as Shining Lore Online, was a cancelled MMORPG video game published by Korean company Phantagram Interactive and developed by NC Soft. The game started as a dating simulation game to be released in 2000, and several of the characters from the original were incorporated into the unreleased MMOPRG. The game was to be released in 2002 for the PC platform with possible future launches on consoles PlayStation 2 and Xbox."

Basic Tutorial:
(i can't give support, only this tutorial, it's very easy to setup)

-Go to ShiningLoreServerSetup folder
-Click on "MySQL Connector_ODBC 3.51 SETUP.reg"
-Click on "SLServerSetup.exe" (it's an automatic installer, installation path : "D:/usr/*" --> apache,phph,mysql,www (register and config file for server), "D:/☆天使服务端/*" --> server side)

There is also an "Interactive Handbook" : 电子书IE7修正版ForSLServerSetup.exe

the client launcher isnt working :3

May be that the installer needs to work that the system is configured to display Chinese in non-unicode program (it's my case and installer works fine) or perhaps, you've a runtime problem

System error 1067 has occurred. when starting the bat inside usr folder
also client tries to patch

Gateway doesnt cannot connect to character db and gives an ip,we need to find a way to edit that ip

theres a hex editor on tools folder

using sox editor i ve found the ip in folder misc/serverlist.sox
testing again wish me luck

Edit3: i cant eidt sox files,its the last thing remaining
also you need to restore database with sql.txt file
im tired its 5 am ll try tomorrow to update post
maybe we ll need other tools to open the files and edit all who knows

@xlw00tlx you don't need to restore DB, it's already existing and linked with "MySQL Connector_ODBC 3.51 SETUP.bat", you need to edit all .bat inside "D:/usr/" or use the files (in Attachment) i created (i add in main tutorial)

-Click on "installDLL32.bat" or "installDLL64.bat" (According to your system)
-Click on "Start Apache.bat"
-Click on "Start mysql.bat"

Server must be run by 'load.exe' (you need to use the HandBook to see full launching procedure, go to 4th Tab and click on 2nd button)

@orion13 but the game keeps poiting to 211.x.x.x ip
even after all that
and the launcher tries to patch still,i think the config tools and the hex editor are related to the game client exe but i cant find a way to fix it

1rst Solution : open your Handbook, install "Loader.exe" which allows you to start the client, running locally, without input parameters

2nd Solution (incomplete, necessary to study HandBook):

you need to:
install "Soda" with Handbook in "Client/data" folder

make a extract.bat file like this :

Soda.exe /ed \Misc
pause

Save and launch, it extracts Misc folder and his content
Delete all files except "server_list.sox" (if you want to edit other .sox like "STRINGTABLEKOREAN.SOX" , you can left them), edit IP inside with winhex

Create a update.bat file like this:

@echo on
Soda.exe /acd Misc
pause

Save and launch, it adds the content of Misc folder to .SOP file
to be continued ...

SERVER RUNING
but the client loader points to a different port i cant edit it
EDIT: someone please tell me how to edit ip
everytime i do it ends with nul nul nul and gives errors
the ip of the file shows as SHANGAI .1...192.168.0.103... .THEEND
i tried changing the blank spaces as dots (0) or spaces (20) but doesnt works

The "2nd Solution" in my last post is not an option, This step must be done before using the Client loader

i can choose server but can't connect after (perhaps a port problem)

@orion13 told you,the loader wants to use port 50xxx and the game server its using port 6224
we need to find a way to change the client ip and port to make it connect
for now let it rest im exausted...and no one is helping us

portforwarding with portforward tool ( yes this is the name of tool , "PortForward" )

I found a new exe "SlOnline" for Client (apparently, the former had a problem with port and update)(bonus: add 2 new seats (you can create 5 characters) :
