How to Secure a 0.97D Server?

I need to setup a 0.97d files (MBT Muserver 0.97D) https://forum.ragezone.com/f197/mbt-...-items-532792/ but I'm not really sure if the files can be fully secured and what are the best practices for this type of files. The other thing is that I need to find a compatible free antihack system like the ones offered in the release section.
