People like this give me hope for the human race!

Ok, ok. Before people start flaming me for "Advertising a forum", IM NOT! This was just a really moving thread by a really cool guy. The stuff he wrote is pretty graphic. It's about what his life was like before he moved to America. He lived in India, where his life was atrocious.

Some people may be offended about what he writes. It talks about rape. I would advise viewer discretion.

Shows what kindness is in this world.

I just want to say that this really moved me.
It is hard to type this knowing that this guy could not even imagine a "keyboard". The things we take for granted every day. Even the things we throw out... He would have given anything for just a taste of it. Just thinking of how sometimes you eat food that you may not find tasty, and not eat in the end... He considers it as something he has to eat in order to survive, and would give anything for it.

It's just very shocking and very sad...


About that forum, those donators are really amazing people that recognize Natraj's needs and would fight to make a difference in his life. They are true heroes in my eyes.

ok i'm beggining to feel really bad about myself. everyone posts all these sad things and then others get all sad and stuff but why the hell do i just read it and come out untouched? wtf is wrong with me! am i the only one? do i have no heart?

yeah.....living in mexico i had similair experiences. Things like taking a bath and what not were hard because sometimes for many days, we would be without water pressure. Every once in awhile the people would pitch in money to pay for atleast a decent road to be paved, and right when everything was paid for, there would be no road or no money returned. The politicians and stuff would just keep the money.

When i was little (like 13-14) i would work a usual 16 hours per day only getting paid about 20 pesos (or roughly 2 US dollars)

It is right that most people in the USA, Canada, and England take so much of what they have for granted. I mean kids today in high school easily spend about 5-6 dollars a day buying fast food and what not. From where im from, thats mostly unheard of.Taking 30 minute showers was also unheard. The good thing that you get out of these kind of experiences though is that there is more of a bond with families who experience tough times. I see children who watch tv all day or just lay video games, eat whatever whenever. Then those ungrateful little brats whine because they got the wrong toy or just something was wrong with their hamburger or something, and their parents come home at all kinds of hours alone and what not. Dinner time for us just isnt dinner, its a time to remenisc on daily activities, talk about social and political news, talk about town news, etc. Maybe people should really think twice before they turn on their warm/hot water and be grateful that water at all is coming out. To be grateful that they have a refridgerator and tv and computers.

That is how life is in many south eastern asian, african and south american countries. It's really sad but not much anyone can do about it. Most of the time it's the fault of poor governing.
