I'm following the guide by protocolbeta ( https://forum.ragezone.com/f854/guid...s-7-a-1036011/ ) and attempting to use those server files and I cannot get the Enigma steps to work correctly. I use cmd in administrator to delete the registry files and the temp files however, after entering the password the enigma / black screen restarts and I have to start over. Do these files work with Windows 8.1? Or am I doing something wrong?
Okay I had this problem too so I hope I can help. Have you changed the Ip addresses in your SQL service manager to 1433 (step 6)? Have you restarted your computer? Umm... if those two don't work, message me and I'll try to walk you through a different method. Because there are other files, but it's complicated setting them up and I have to think about it. lol.Quote:

@LeSwrd Thank you for the reply, I have performed step 6, including restarting my pc, however, I noticed right above tcp port 1433 I had a dynamic port so I set it to 0 in hopes it would fix the issue, but it hasn't. I have other server files as well if it helps, the other files I have require the key generator and I haven't gotten passed DB either. May i ask which log you need? I'm looking in Server/log and i'm not seeing DNDB. I see logs for DBDelay, DBError, DBServer, and others not related to DB.Quote:

Edit 2: So I have tried SQL Server 2008 R2 and received an error from attatching the databases saying the version of the database i'm using was "too new" for SQL 2008 R2. So i installed 2014 and still get the same thing regarding Enigma restarting.
Okay yeah, I've had that problem before and some can probably tell you better advice than I can, but what I did was restart my computer entirely, which means I rebooted and got rid of EVERYTHING, and had to put everything back in again. Then I installed a fresh sql server 2008 r2 and followed all the steps carefully, and it worked. Umm. I mean you could try these files, they're slightly more update than the ones from the guide. You have to set them up a little differently though. Delete your dndb dnmembership etc stuff from your database and you have to back up the database's from this new one. and then use this Enigma key decrypter to get past the enigma passwordQuote:
