Hello guys,
Some time ago I started to edit the Jabbo Project, improved the whole project and after much work I just decided to create a Habbo in HTML5 was not what I really wanted. A few weeks later I started to create another set, also with HTML5, but there creativity went downhill. Then, after a few other weeks I had a great idea. Recreate the Mobiles Disco all from scratch, this time in HTML5, with WebSockets, JavaScript, jQuery and server in Python. The project is well underway, soon will open a Mobiles Disco Server.
Are you going to make the source public any time soon?
I'm getting tired of people posting developments and keeping the source code to themselves.
Well, for now I will not post anything about the source or something. I will continue to develop and open a server as well as possible, and then, after much improvement will think about the possibility of leaving the source open to all.
If I may give you a tip, try to not use jQuery too much (for example if you don't need anything like animation or fadeing etc.). If you only need to get an element (maybe to add content or something) try to use vanilla JS since jQuery is slower than vanilla JS :-)
I don't agree with the whole 'no source snippets' policy on this thread.
IMO, if you really want people to follow your development and get into it, its always good to upload source snippets.
You'll get help on what you should/shouldn't use and it will keep faith restored in everyone subscribed.
Don't take the wrong path with this.
Do you want to help the thread? Post your comment and leave it be. Critizism of any kind is accepted and encouraged, but this is turning into an argument of what jQuery is or isn't.
This looks like a really interesting project. But what is this nonsense with not allowing code-snippets to be posted in threads? This is after all a development section. Also, is there any open code-repos for the project?
I'm wondering about the Python framework you're using for the web back-end care to share what framework you're using? :) If you're ever looking for something fun to work with CherryPy is amazing.

I'm using only Simple Framework (only for websockets)... :)
I'm not using Python for back-end, it's only for the server. My back-end is basically HTML5 and JavaScript :)
Server == Backend...
HTML5 and JavaScript are not back-end that's front-end lol Back-end is the code the player cannot see... Front-end is what they can see... Either way you never answered my question about Python...

Yeah someone need to study about CASE methodology and specially "lower-CASE"

I'm not sure what you're implying, but for starters my casing is fine, I screwed up one word if anything. There's also the fact that English is not my first language. As a programmer you learn the importance of case-sensitivity anyway. Sorry for my bad English, I'm from America.
Edit:
If you're referring to how I said HTML5 in all capital letters, it's an acronym, and the industry standard way of capitalization for HTML is always upper case, except in source it could be lowercase. There's also JavaScript which is shortened to JS from time to time. These are names of things which must be in uppercase where appropriate.

Can build a server in javascript. Pick your words wisely.

There's an AND between HTML5 and JavaScript, not an OR. Why is everyone trying to attack me all I wanted was to know what Python libraries he's using, ya'll need to back up a bit.

Ah neat, never heard of that one before, looks to me like UML but more automated? Your message was confusing as heck to read I had a feeling but wasn't 100% sure lol then I just got a bit carried away with my ranting. Sorry for the misunderstanding. :) At least you didn't accuse me of not knowing about server-side JS.

Haha, i'm not equal the other people that if you doesn't know anything or are wrong instead of help and solve your doubts, they begin to belch of arrogance....
Also i really don't know why people need to discuss and arrgss with every opinion. Oush.
We're here to learn, here is a community, not an University Exam.

Agreed, though we're going to gear off topic a bit too much. I'm still wanting to know what OP is using... Flask? Bottle? Django? Tornado? etc?
I really don't know, since now jQuery self considere theyself as Library and not Framework.
Also idk what is Flask, Bottle, Django, Tornado..
Now i will stop being off-topic hehe
They're all web frameworks for Python capable of doing websockets. Django is closer to Ruby on Rails, the others are like Sinatra to some degree. I personally prefer CherryPy because it's beautiful for developing, you can reload scripts quicker (just save and it auto updates, vs Flask out of the box doesn't do this).

Ah Python Frameworks! Nice, i'm trying to start learning LISP, is really hard.
Python is beauty, smart, maybe great for Habbo, mainly if you want Linux Environments..

Lisp is only hard if you make it feel hard. Check out Racket, and the book Realm of Racket is good too. Racket is dead simple, Clojure is nice too. Lisp is beautiful in it's own ways. :) Anyway I'll keep waiting on OP to answer...
General Improvements:
- The game was resized to the original size (640x520 - PopUp window)
- Mariis Bot now speak random shouts
- Mariis Bot now recognizes when you talk to her
- Mariis Bot now walks
Missing Stuff:
- Bot give drink
- Avatar system (generate avatar walking, stand, effects) [will take much time]
- Register/modify pages
The purpose of releasing the code is the forum to make millions renames without at least give credit? Like when I posted the source of the Phoenix, came a sucker, renamed to "GoldTree" (That name the f*ck is this?) And did not even put the f*cking credits. That's why the @TheGeneral is right not to post sources.
Don't take this in a rude way but this isn't the sort of project that someone would want to rename.
It's great, creative and I'm currently following it but no one will rename this nor re-release it with changes.
It's not a bad project just not at the level of importance as an emulator is.
Long time without take a look on the Habbo scene or anything related.. ^^
I love your project since I always loved everything related with Oldschool Habbo, it reminds me some specific days having a lot of fun in my hotel on one of that old public rooms and also testing Mobiles Disco bymyself with Nillus emulator. Of course I wish you the best and I can understand how frustrating could be for you to watch how some of your projects are renamed by idiots, but anyways I must agree with @Francis Joseph in the sense that is sure nobody will take this that serious to start having any type of personal/economic benefit.
I've worked with the Oldschool servers for a lot of years and trust me, if I didn't have that type of troubles cause there were just a few people interested about it, nowadays that is the less important thing you have to be worried about.
If i'm honest and it'd be on my hand, no matter the damage some people made me on the past, I'd release it just for not been one of those cowards disappeared project owners that made us have hope for years with awesome projects like this one for example: [v7-v35/Java] Atom Project: The hybrid server. I followed with a lot of hope almost 3 years for nothing, not most people will remember but I'll never forget it.
Is just my personal opinion, it probably won't change anything but I watch it unfair from my point of view, by your's too :)

I understand that everyone wants to source, but for now I will not release it, does not help the @Quackster be giving dislike for all the answers, until there is something good for the community not pass a development. I am continuing slowly project because as I said earlier, I had many personal problems in recent days. I hope I can release a demo soon, at least for the community to see the progress of the project. And yes, codes will be posted, but not now.
Yes! I've fixed Avatar-Imaging basic features, but now still missing features(from avatar animation) like sit, dance, drink, speak. The register page is ready and everything.
The game is almost ready. I'm out of time to continue the project, but I hope, to the middle of the year, put online in the domain mobilesdisco.net.
I used to own mobiles-disco.com and I hosted a small project on it, like a year ago or so and I haven't renewed it in ages, and it appears someone now owns the domain. :(:
No, the intention of the anti-adblock is that when the game is actually released will have a few ads to be able to maintain the server. But nothing interferes with HTML5.
