Good news!

A good guy from china have provided me with a lot of material, a new server (1076) and some info. I haven't test them yet but i think i'll sail in a H44 soon ;)

However super Yamato and new DDs are not in this version, maybe with a bit of editing-mixing version... but i need Tidus help to do that.

so do missions work on private servers?

Because the BB Mission sucks and the new mission of the CL fleet is great also the AA Missons.

And wen do you set the DL link for the new server. ;)

Another update:

-I still have problems with loginserver... it need to be restarted after a user logout (maybe a sql db problem)
-This version (1067 og0) is very... chinese :) I need help to change spr. Also many things has been customized (ship names & data etc)
-Some useful options from us version are missing (reload button for example)
-Super Yamato, new dds and some others ship are missing (including york :o)
-There are custom mission in this version... a cool one is a battle with some eugen-scharnhorst protecting a cv fleet (but planes don't attack you)
-I don't think we will ever see new missions (aa training and such) in this version, it's too old or some other datafiles/logic in the server are missing, the client crash instantly if i add them. Custom mission however does work.
-ATM i'm mixing this version with another chinese 1087, i'm not sure how this will turn out
-i'm waiting for another reply from the chinese guy, if all go right i'll be able to edit .data files (guns, ships, armour etc) and missions. With these tools i'll be able to better understand how navyfield works and maybe add/fix the missing ships.

I'll upload new client & server soon, but keep it in mind, it's mostly for testing right now

Controls are still chinese-style so use Autohotkey or similar.

Very Very pretty. Nice work I have to say. However I would say not to worry about the new DD's some people like myself dislike them anyways as it makes people use those DD's insted of advancing to CL class ships. ^^

New DDs are only an example, POW remodel is also missing... many people will not be pleased to hear that :) I need to know how to put these ship back.

Well what I read it sucks.
So the CV-Fleet doesn't bomb you!.
And the Sharshrots and the Prinz Eugen Mission well it sounds good.
Also does the Client Crash if you make a room??

And some ships are missing???? Well I also miss some ships whit the 1.054a and now I also gone have whit the 1.076 :S

It need to be better and not bad.

But still I whant it.
If we know what ships we are missing maby we can fix it.
Aslo try to get the 1.087 of the Chinees.
Maby he has the ships and it works better and stabbel ;)

Its bad that I'm no Coder so I can't realy help but still you can ask me ( if I can help )

Version 1.087 is quite good, but crash when you create a room. I know the trick to set chinese for non unicode programs but my XP installation has been customized with nlite and i've removed asian language... i've tried to put chinese support back and now xp is screwed :( Rebooted in linux to try to recover some important files from xp partition before the format and guess what... linux harddisk is broken! God... i hate my bad luck.
Now i'm reinstalling xp... i should be back to work in some hours.

Yeah, Well

I gotted the Same problems aswell.
As I wanna start a room it crash.
But than I figurd out how it can be.
And its so that when i go first in a room at Area7.
The ship will not crash.
And I if than go into antoher room at the Area6 or so for missions I just can play.

Maby it also works whit the 1.087
If it is than its none problem ;)

EaCop: releasing bombs is quiet easy!!!! push repeatelly . or , on your keyboard, its same as in US version, i tried Graf Zeppelin in mission with that old server (1.054) and can bomb normally

But I pushed so much buttons that I don't know what butten I had pushed.

Also do you know how to fix the Crash??
Every time if I enter ship yard it crashed.
Aswell as I go to a room or make a room :crash:

I've got the reply from the chinese guy:

-his mission editor has some problems... so forget about it for now
-the new server version in china are about the same as us version, but they want to keep it exclusive for themself
-there's a .data files editor, but for the same reason as above they will not share it :ranting:
-spr viewer is finally working, but i'm not sure how to replace the sprite inside

On top of this there's the login server problem... if someone doesn't find a solution for the restart after logout i don't see how we can setup a working server.

I wish I could test these things. lol Though I know nothing of the source so i'd be little help. lol

Chinese are mean, they plan on taking over the world so I would expect as much. ^^ American gives them so many deals, and guess what they use all that money for? To build the worlds largest army!... lol
