Evo-Team S2.X - alot of Q's
Hi everybody, I have been running a Evo-Team S2.X server for 3 days, but not without problems, so now I'm hoping for a little help from you experts :)
Q1: When I set CtlCode to 8 or 12 the client close upon login. When I set it to 32, I can't use GM commands.
Q2: Zen drop rate AND EXP gain is not affected by commonserver.cfg ?
Q3: Client D/C when moving to LorenDeep/Crywolf, why?
Q4: After reset, i must be lvl 80 to use twisting slash, is it possible to change?
Q5: Greater Furtune sets hp from 30k to ~4k, what is happening?
Q6: /viplist returns; [VIP] You are not VIP, type /viplist to see plans, why?
Q7: GS keeps saying; Client hack detected: Editing AttackSpeed, why?
[STRIKE]Last, but most important;
It is only possible to connect from the server, another PC on same LAN can not connect. I also tried to connect from outside LAN, same result.
When I open client it D/C after loading. Any ideas?[/STRIKE]

Connection problem fixed!
Just changed client to this: /ExTeam-S2.4.rar and Main.exe - Just edit IP, serial and version in main.exe

Code 32 seems to work after client change, but 8 still crash the client, any ideas?

Seems to be fine with 32 after client change. Suspecting some skinning maybe, any thoughts any one?

A: so u want to use GM commands then see if your files have custom GM system, else usually CtlCode 8 must be working.. maybe ur doing something wrong again
Q2: Zen drop rate AND EXP gain is not affected by commonserver.cfg ?
A: zen drop is affected by Exp yes, if u had a custom file where u can configure zen like in titans tech season 6 etc it would be better.
Q3: Client D/C when moving to LorenDeep/Crywolf, why?
A: cuz ur port of GS_CS is not open? or u didnt run it yet? or your mapserverinfo.dat is not correctly configured?

A: Only on custom files where they have config to enable that.

A: find config about the kills of BK and fix it
Q6: /viplist returns; [VIP] You are not VIP, type /viplist to see plans, why?
A: cuz u might have to be VIP already to see VIP's ?
Q7: GS keeps saying; Client hack detected: Editing AttackSpeed, why?
A: in commonserver disable some weird antihack settings about Speed and disable them, u dont need them.. just get LiveGuard antihack or other antihack instead.
For your last question, there is no real solution on some people it just doesnt get fixed... all you can do IS.
1. in connectserver serverlist.dat just replace your LAN IP and reload serverlist in connectserver, then you can connect (Only U)
2. turn back global IP and refresh the serverlist on connectserver (so then other players can connect)
u have to do that everytime, unless u find a better solution..

Q1; My files does have custom system, all configs been done.
Q2; yes i might be better with custom files, but that's not helping me right now.
Q3; Port is open, of course it's running
Q4; Well, the Q is pointed directly at these server files, download and help - else don't comment
Q5; That's not helping at all
Q6; Please read again, The command suggests me to use that command, because I'm NOT VIP
Q7; I will try and look through commonserver, thanks
Last; Why does that happen? Sounds strange :)
Please understand that I don't appreciate you're trying to help, I do. But you post sounds like any answer you would give to similar Q's. I would like someone with knowledge about this specific server to help :)

well you are using bugged files, then you are expecting to get SOLUTIONS, that's not even logical, i am trying to help from the basics, if i am not useful you should learn coding and fix your files with that way =]
ps: why u dont tag @Th3AnG3L ?
he coded the files, and he knows better, ask in that thread instead, the files are still on developement 4 sure.
i am not upset don't worry, but i dont test those files because i know which files are better on season 2 which are MMT 1.00.18 and exteam season 2.4 which i tested by myself, other files are not tested by me so ican't help that much, atleast im trying.

You should always try to use the most safe and stable files, with sources, if possible. :)

Yes, I would also like to use most stable.
Evo-Team files is being updated when bugs is found, that's why i though they where very good and stable files.
Well, which files is the most stable, I really like S2 with lvl3 wings and alot of custom stuff :) Any suggestions?

I think i'm sticking with Evo files for now, haven't found any serious bugs.
All I really need to fix right away is the connection problem.

well good that exteam s2.4 custom client doesnt work like the other clients which dont allow your self to connect lol.
also remember most bugless s2 files for me are mmt 1.00.18
exteam s.2.4 were pretty good and stable u can keep them ofcourse with their customs.
