[request/guidance] FLA/SWF
Ive been working on the frontend, hud etc,but after struggling with my loading screen for a while I was hoping someone on here could lead me in the right direction.
What I am trying to get working now is: https://i.gyazo.com/4b4e2668ce939855...be1edb14c5.gif
Debug/preview looks alright in animate (if you disregard the placeholder images), but it crashes the actual game when joining a server. And here comes my problem, I dont really know exactly how to "implement" this in the src - or I might just have done something/missed out on something while making this.. Nonetheless, if anyone knows what to do please shoot me a PM.

If you are literally just trying to make a loading screen with different images, you can compare your work to this release from a while back:

Re: [request/guidance] FLA/SWF
Yeah, just 3 rotating images + a smooth transition. Thanks I'll check it out.

Didnt really help much tbh as that template is messy af. Ill just make it simple without the animation / just "fake" the anim on the images themselves.
Re: [request/guidance] FLA/SWF
in flash, you could mess around with tweens. The .fla which I sent is from 2014 I think so it could be updated. but try somthing with tweens. I never really looked into it, but thats a transition frame :)
Re: [request/guidance] FLA/SWF
You could just change the alpha of the images to less and the other image to more like this
frame 1 image 1 - alpha 100
frame 1 image 2 - alpha 0
frame 2 image 1 - alpha 50
frame 2 image 2 - alpha 50
frame 3 image 1 - alpha 0
frame 3 image 2 - alpha 100
But obviously, much much slower. Since the swf file runs at 30 frames per second. You would need ~60 frames for each frame so it doesn't flicker really fast..
If you still have problem, write me a PM and I'll see If i can help you.

@dldanny05 @GigaToni
Ive been messing around with tweens, but there is something Im doing wrong (obviously) as game crashes. This is being logged: 000020.731| r3dFile: can't open levels/colorado_v2/loadingscreen1.dds
Ive never seen this file in my life, but it appeared after i changed the image name of the previous background in the loadingscreen.fla. Im using the yuri fla source with the untouched files.
Edit: Will try the alpha solution as well.
Re: [request/guidance] FLA/SWF
Ignore that error, what other errors are u getting? The only crashes i get are Font issues.
Re: [request/guidance] FLA/SWF
Im not actually using the swf dldanny linked. It looks disqusting and it was way too messy for me. Im just trying to do the image transitions. 2+ background images instead of the default 1.

I've made transition loadscreens many times before. If you can't find any errors, send me the .FLA and I will fix it for you. I find it weird that the only error you have is the loadscreen1 dds.
Re: [request/guidance] FLA/SWF
Ive never done this before, so Im just trying to learn and I cant say I expected it to come out perfectly. Compared to the template that was linked here I was using tweens on pretty much everything + I used a mask to create the top left anim.
I ended up replacing the one I had made with the default one and forgot to make a backup.. Ill remake it and upload it. Thanks.
Edit: I did the "move all" tutorial thats on here to see if it would actually work, and now this happens when trying to open the gi/inventory. I get a feeling that im either doing something really wrong or the yuri release needs some tweaking to work with untouched source. ->
