How to Run NavyField offline

Hey Tidus, I remember you said you can run Navyfield offline and play missions. Could you please explain to me how to do that, I am so lost. Also, do you have AOL Instant Messenger or MSN so we can talk easier. Anyone else that knows how to run NF offline too please step in. I would like to try this :)

Hey, I dont have SQL Server 2000 so I can't do the first part. Do I have to create a server to run offline? And where do I get this IIS thing?

Oh, You must have MS SQL server to run NF Offline. This is fist condition.
IIS is 1 part of OS, ex WinXP IIS 5.0. You can install it in Control panel/add and remove programs/add and remove windows components/Internet Infomation service.

Where is this program in the "How to Make your own server post" Start --> Program --> Administrator Tool --> Data Sources (ODBC) I found everything in the SQL program up until that. I Dont know how to do it....please help :)

I dont even have the SP2 CD. I got SP2 off the site I think. Is there somewhere else I can download this IIS thing?

You don't need IIS to run a Navy Field server, the only thing you need that for is to make an account...basically, you can just read off the code of the ASP and run the queries manually. How you ask?

Start Menu --> Program Files --> Microsoft SQL Server --> Query Analyser
Login
Select your Navy Field database from the drop down
In this big empty text field, input...

...where you replace <username> and <password> with the desired username and password. Then execute the query with the triangluar play button on the top toolbar.

Now run this query by clearing out the textfield and inputing...

Replace <username> with the one you used in the first query. This should return a numerical value, if this is the first account you created, it should be 1. MEMORIZE THAT NUMBER. IT'S NOT THAT HARD.

Now clear the textfield again and input...

..where <number> is the one you just memorized.

Bam! You're done! You can do this to register any account, if you have to register a lot of accounts (which I doubt), then I can compile a PHP script for you, but that would require more installation :p

Ok, I did everything, I made server, I downloaded your client, I made an account, but when I click on the NavyField.exe button it says Please play your local NavyFIELD. Can I have some help please? What do I do from here?

Values of billdate_1 must > current date.
Ex today is 2006-10-2 (Feb, 10 - 2006) then you need edit values is 2008-1-1.
Because you acc will close in 2008-1-1. If your values is 2005-1-1 you only login your acc in 1 time, only fist time.
And if you Navyfield.exe repost "Please play your local NavyFIELD" you need use NfStart.exe. 2 file is same.

I did exactly as you said. I put it in exactly as Doraemon has it now. With 2008-1-1. I put in exactly what he has in his post and it still kicked me off the second time I tried to log in. It keeps saying this error msg but I dont know what it means. I have a picture of it. Can someone please translate what it means?

I almost forgot, how do I change EXP % for the areas?

I think it's in the database, THAT or it's stored in those files in \server\gameserver\MAP
