What age did you leave school/planning to leave school?

I left school at the end of last year, at the age of 15. For the career path that I want to do, I have no use for the extra 2 years at school, as why do I need it if i'm going to end up doing the same thing?
This is what i'm going to do:
Year 2006-Mid 2006: Certificate 2 in Information Technology (Applications)
Mid 2006-Mid 2007: Certificate 3 in Information Technology (Website Design)
Mid 2007-Mid 2008: Certificate 4 in Information Technology (Website Design)
Mid 2008-Mid 2009: Diploma in Information Technology (Website Design)

Then I will see if I want to go to university or not, it all depends I guess.

So what year did you guys do school, what training did you guys do/planning to do, and what happened?

I left school at age of 16

Ive left, At 15. Go in once a week.

im gonna leave high school at 18 >.> and then enter college

Hopefully exams in May 2007, then afterwards hopefully to pilot school (first officer). I have this introduction thing about it on february 27th with probably a flight skill test to see if I have all the right capabilities. The school's in Oxford, England (Anyone of you guys live near there?) so I'll have to live in a foreign country for 18 months (That's how long it lasts till I have all the necessary certificates.

cant leave to dumb i wanted to either do computer science, comp engineer, comp programmer, media arts basically anything in comp feild even network admin but im sorta dumb cant even learn html well nto odumb just lazy pretty much why i cant leavea my 3.3 GPA aint goign to get me anywere but im tied life has its reasonsw/e

You cant get any of those without a high school diploma.. Today was bubble sheet day, and Im taking 2 computer courses next year.

Mmm.. if you mean, when I plan to leave university: somewhere in 2009. I'm 21 at the moment, meaning I'll be 24 by that time.. Never too old to learn :D

I left school when i was 15.. And now im learing in some building school or smth like that.. Dont know the right word.. And i only have to be in school 2 days in a week :) Rox :)

i planned on leaving school when i finished GCSEs, was gonna do an apprentaship

when i went to college to ask about it the tutor talk me into doing a BTEC ND which i did

now ive ended up in uni...somehow lol...ooh well ill probly end up with a PhD if i keep going xD

I hate school, i'm not dropping out, i passed all the compulsary schooling needed here.
I'm going to be making alot of money in a few years, if i want to teach IT privately (someone i know makes a little over $5000 AUD a day.)

I'm working on getting GED right now, because I'm under 18 I gotta past a pre-GED test >.> just took it so give me some luck!!

damn that's not fair I gotta have 32 credits of classes (8 oer year for me), and what pisses me off is how majoirty of my friends are in Calculus and going on the AP Calc, I'm still in Algerbra 2 :p (which they took their freshman year) and the fact that they doubled-up on so much shit I'm surprised they're still in school.

I have no idea when I'm done, somewhere in 2011~2012........

Its just that I dont want to coz everything about this is boring the hell out of me.

If its boring for you then drop out.. I dorped to.. And now im working as a constructor in some
company.. And im making 10 000 KR (my country money) and its 770 dollars a month.. And i live with it :)

PS: Im studing building in a vocational school and i had to go practice in the same company where i work and i got the job :)

I left school after my GSCE's then did a GNVQ at the 6th form and now doing my final year at independent 6th form college thingy for my BTEC, gonna go uni in september and learn games development ^_^

then it's me off to Japan and never coming back ^_^

wow lots of people have dropped out...me i would get beat if my dad found i dropped out..

My dad would try to beat me, but I think I'm stronger than him now. Plus he's old now and youth is on my side!

Drop-Outs People!

I will graduate highschool in 2009, and continue to college. I donno, dropping out doesnt seem like an option for me, personally, my expectations for myself are high, and without a college diploma I would be a disgrace to myself, and my whole family. But that is just me.

I'll finish college in 2010, i'll be 17, then i'll go to university, no way would i be allowed to drop out

you'll be 17???? the youngest I would of been was 18 to finish high school (without failing or anything).

Different countries have different schooling etc.
Ive finished all the schooling needed.

I left when i registered on RZ forums.

Still at skool atm but i done my Electrician exam today so hopefully if i pass ill get an Apprenticeship and i will leave at the end of this year :D

I would love to get out of school fast, but I am stuck. Ill be finishing up city college this winter and then moving o to ITT Tech for what I really want to learn. After that I hopefully dont need anymore school.

tbh on average people who leave school at 15/16 and go to TAFE would most probably endup earning more than people who completed highschool and got a university degree. infact they would probably have a job and be earning a steady income already by time other people finnish their uni education and start job hunting. i would have left at year 10, but i wanted to complete year 12 and graduate first so i have more options at TAFE (also so i can atleast call myself a highschool graduate instead of a drop-out :P)

i was talking to my one of my teachers from last year the other day, and he was a builder before he became a teacher. after graduating he got an apprenticeship as a builder and started doing that. he was telling me that before going to uni and becoming a teacher, his last paycheque as a builder was over AU$150,000.00. now as a teacher he earns about 1/4 of that.

Exactly, i left school at 16, i'm now 18 and earning 18k a year (UK), which isnt too bad for 18! You will come out of uni with a nice shiny degree to show to your bosses! Wow! Look! You can fill in exam papers! Here's your 18k a year at 24.

Wow, i totally agree.
How much do you work? Like people after uni have to work longass days, and they finish at like 25+.

After high school you go to multiple kinds of 'after high school stuff', there is university, but that takes shitty ass long. If you take something 1 small level lower, and you will take it on the 'speed level'. Then your done in 2 years. And believe me, a level lower is like ... a simple example. 1 level lower = 1+1 =2 , uni = 1+1.1=2.1 , yay! worked my ass of 2 extra years for something i probably wont need.

But thats just here in the netherlands ...
