login on php

Hello.

I got a question about the login on the php site.

Is it possible to make a web page like mypage/1-web/

there is a login and control panel, and there is mypage/2-web/

Is it possible to login on the 1-web, and in the 2-web will be same login?

If yes, please, tell me how.

p.s. 2 different sites + 2 different folders, not connected to each other, just like 2 folders in the same server.

Have an eye on it. It works, but needs optimization cuz doesn't work with FF, only with IE.

Its a good choice, but I would definatly edit this code just make a cookie and let both logins read the same cookie, its easier.

why don't u just have a mysql db and connect to the database on the sites?

I mean another thing.


like 1 site - general site, where is login and control panel. (site1)

and another site (site2) is blank, just text :"You are logged as Gashek"

when you are logged in the site1.

Just set cookies on the first site and if they are on the same domain then you just check to see if the cookie is set on the second site..and go from there.

With the addition that you might want to use some sort of AJAX like combination of Javascript and XML to update site 2 directly when someone logs into site 1.. But that might be arbitrairy and too difficult for you seeing your line of questioning.

yup i like that one.. u can use serialize to serialize an array,,.. then Md5 it give it more protection.

Well the way I normally do it is that I have an auto_incremented user_id field. The cookie stores that number and since the auto_increment starts with 1, I set 0 as guest. Then my main page just checks to see if the cookie is 0 or not. If it's not zero, then it will set a $_USER array that will contain all that user's information.
