Game Description: Archlord 2 is a medieval fantasy MMORPG set in a fantasy world shattered by the endless conflict between two opposing factions. Join enormous Player vs Player battles, and fight to claim the ultimate prize and to become the Archlord — the world’s supreme ruler.
Features:
-Hardcore PvP: Archlord features massive PvP modes including Realm vs. Realm warfare.
-Four races/factions: The Humans of Aimhigh, the Realm of Light, the Orcs of Demolition and the Realm of Darkness. Each race has its own unique specialties, allowing players to decide which one is the best for their gaming style.
-Powerful soundtrack: Mesmerizing soundtrack performed by Cris Velasco, the multi-award winning composer for more than 40 video games, including God of War and Borderlands.
This is the original release archive given to me a couple months ago. I have been contemplating releasing this recently, and thanks to a certain individual I was given a little push to do so. This contains everything needed in order to get ingame; a KR client, Server data, and the full source code(Client, Server, Tools). Some minor things are missing, like a few unnecessary tools, the launcher, and some deprecated modules. There is also some issues with this code that must be fixed in order to get ingame, and some further fixes that must be done in order to use the English CBT client. The data inside the DB is also out of date, and should be updated using the excel table data provided in these files.
I will be re-uploading my fixed source shortly after making this thread. I will also be writing a tutorial on how to setup the files, but that will come later. Some information tho, the server uses a File DSN to connect to the DB, these must be placed in a Dsn.zip file in the root folder. The servers also want to be installed as a service, but this can be bypassed with passing any string as an argument, TEST works well. I can confirm you can get ingame with these files, however a little effort will most likely be required. There are also some ingame issues outlined by @Hycker in the other thread.
I think if we can come together, and get enough interest, we can very much make a new section for ArchLord 2, but it's up to all of us in that regard. So please, lets all work together to make this happen :) I will try to provide as much support as I can in this thread, but I didn't spend a significant amount of time with these files, so I can't help too much after the initial setup/getting ingame.

Fixed code has finished uploading, you can find some info about it in the OP, and you can download it from the mega folder that is linked in the first post. A small note, the fixed client code will ONLY work with the English CBT client due to changes with the UI internals.

Because I tried to compile's GameServer and LoginServer and it's giving compilation error, it's simple things to fix, but I'd just like to know not to have to re-create the wheel.

You might have to, make sure to compile in x64 and not Win32. Debug/Release should be working fine. If you are still having issues post the errors here :) Also the BattleServer is currently deprecated from what I can tell, it MIGHT be used for BGs/Sieges but I am not sure for certain as I never tested it. @Hycker would be able to give more insight since he actually played through the game testing the features.

ow I'm trying to fix internal problems, I upgraded vs2008 to sp1 and I enabled the x64 compiler option, but stuck in stupid windows sdk..

4.Server its undone for a playable game (50% its done not even for cbt client) if ai not work its 0
5.You cannot enchant(crash client)
6.You cannot slot(crash client)

s anyone else having problem with ICommDlgBrowser2? Client can be compiled without problem, but can't compile server's bins in x64. I installed Win SDK 7.1 and updated WINNT define too still same shit.

Using the table i want to inform from korean client its different structure and missing datas from :npc table,enchants tables and are more missing data in tables(koreans was samrter didnt let all datas on table.apk because was directly transmited the good one from server)
@xlw00tlx you need to work seriously on it to make it working propertly...but sure you can play it (60% i will say its playable but not for public playing)
There are seriously major bugs .

It's exist on my server, the same what he uploaded to Baidu. Just give me some hours till reach pc and start the webserver via rdc coz it got restarted by provider -.-

The difference beetwen @cmb repacked trunk.zip vs Archlord2.rar is
-fixed the code
-mostly everything compiles
-removed the unnecessary things and duplications
-code a bit friendly
-solutions and sln files sorted out
So Archlord2.rar is ugly then trunk.zip is nice and warm lol

so here is a short tutorial to use compiled bins with CBT client
-download and unpack the server binaries (ITS COMPILED IN DEBUG MODE) from here: http://81.30.158.136:8080/Server_Debug.zip
-go to server root, open dsn.zip file (DO NOT UNPACK AND REPACK, edit the files inside the archive and let winrar repack it) and fill up your database credentials
-go to database BaccParm / tables / DiceGame.TblServerConfig and edit mMaccAddress to match with your local mac
-go to database BaccParm / tables / DiceGame.TblServerConfig and edit mIp to your LAN ip or 127.0.0.1
-DONT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE
-go to serverroot and start loginserver with argument 1001

if you are getting a SxS error, there is a couple vs 2008 sp1 updates iirc that you probably need (related to ATL/MFC security fixes I believe). You should ALWAYS compile and use your own binaries in place of released ones if you can. It should help alleviate any potential SxS issues.

Yeah, I'll release the incomplete AL1 emulator in the near future too :) As for the issues you outlined, I can only speak to the first few issues you outlined. I have not ran into any of those issues out mentioned. The server ran pretty stable for me in debug mode for my entire testing session. The DB being outdated is true, but can be updated using newer Table data, you MAY have to update DB table structures tho to reflect any newer changes. Updating the source to newer content tho is not too difficult, there is a TableGenerator program that will generate new Table cpp and h files to be used, you would of course have to update the code to reflect any structural changes. As for the client crashes I do not know, as I never tested any of those features, but they will most likely be simple to fix (either due to missing data, or calling the data incorrectly)

yeah the vcredists don't install the debug runtime, only vs2008, sp1, and any vs2008 updates will install/update the debug runtime. It's why I suggested to compile it yourself cause it should use the runtime installed on your computer.

They're different archives, Hycker got it from a different site more than likely, and the guy who uploaded it to baidu, purchased it from somewhere then saved it to his baidu and then posted the links on here after reading the other topic about people wanting to sell the client more than likely

What errors are those? Try running vs2008 using AppLocale with Korean language.
NOTE: So somebody DMCA'd the mega folder, I may or may not reupload the files. I recommend some people make mirrors and I will add them to the OP.

One folder above its create a log folder. Check inside and post the log here

it is not making a log folder,i have it in D:\archlord2 in a windows 7x64 pro server
EDIT:THE DNS WERE WRONG IT SAYS 10.0 AND I HAVE 11.0 NOW THE EXES OPEN but they fill my 8 gb ram and now my system is frozen
i made a batch
start loginserver.exe 1001
start gameserverreleasex64.exe 1101 is that correct?
so i need more than 8 gb ram to run server? :(

The release gameserver use more then 8gb and the loginserver use around 180mb ram so far I remember. Try to use the debug version, it's uses around 2gb ram by gs

Copy the server to a subdirectory to Make sure it's create log folder one folder below. I can't say anything without logs...

1.PUT IN COMPILED FOLDER WITH BINS
2.CREATE A FOLDER LOG INSIDE "SERVER'' FOLDER
3.MAKE SHORTCUTS FOR LOGINSERVER+GAMESERVER WITH "TEST"
4.START LOGIN AND GAMESERVER
5.IF NOT START CHECK LOG FOLDER NOW NEED TO BE THERE YOUR ERROR
Black screen isnt error check log folder you will see server its started > check taskmanager for gameserver.exe if reach 1.4 gb-1.5 gb then gameserver works its online(if they dont close means its online).

-download and unpack the server binaries (ITS COMPILED IN DEBUG MODE) from here: http://81.30.158.136:8080/Server_Debug.zip
-go to server root, open dsn.zip file (DO NOT UNPACK AND REPACK, edit the files inside the archive and let winrar repack it) and fill up your database credentials
-go to database BaccParm / tables / DiceGame.TblServerConfig and edit mMaccAddress to match with your local mac
-go to database BaccParm / tables / DiceGame.TblServerConfig and edit mIp to your LAN ip or 127.0.0.1
-DONT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE
-go to serverroot and start loginserver with argument 1001
-go to serverroot and start GameServerWDebugx64 with argument 1101 press SKIP on error
if you did everything well output should be:
-install CBT client (NOTE: if you want multiple client then make a copy from that, else delete the key from registry coz the dumb webzen isntaller uninstall the client automaticly if you wanna install again)
unpack the Client_files.zip DOWNLOAD FROM HERE http://81.30.158.136:8080/Client_files.zip to client root folder overwrite the files
edit GameBase.ini file line 52 to your IP address AND DONT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE
start the game with archlord2.exe
take a look on database BaccAccount / dbo.TblAccount and pick your a user
use any password to login

You have to make shortcuts to the executables and put the arguments at the end of Target box after the closing quotes, as for your second question I have no idea what you mean? Unpack everything into a folder somewhere of your choosing, take the DB and put it into MSSQL, not sure which version so just try the newest community edition, should work fine.

i made it run but no moonelf or dragon available to create only orc and hoomins
you need to edit the wsid and the server with your sql info,in wsid you put your machine name,in server put 127.0.0.1
the windows blank or vanish is sql error i noticed @hycker @marelegg @cmb any way to use the other game races or just human and orc available?

You need to attach them instead of restoring them, there should be an option when you right-click in the management studio.

Attach function, it is impossible. The files have no extension and sql does not see them.
When joining it requests .mdf

@Hycker @cmb now you see what you did on this release?There are peoples who doesnt know how to work with mssql and serverfiles,let the servers appears and close after few days because of 0 knowledge using db softwares and how the game/serverfiles work...
If the s*** happen its better to release a fully tutorial for them!Release topic its full of spamming about not working to compile or even start server/start server with errors...

@marelegg i almost got it working at first try,and im not very good at programming,but i have like 300 different server and learn by expenrience how to do the stuff
was my error not to check the native client version
but i didnt knew that server required to be strictly in a folder called SERVER and no one posted the params,without that info i would never make it work,no one posted a tutorial so it were like "HERE TAKE THE FILES MAKE IT RUN OR GTFO"
ok so far this is how you setup: @cmb put this mini tutorial in front page please :3
make a forlder named Server,and a folder named Log (mine is D:\Archlord2\server D:\Archlord2\log)
modify the dns files inside the zip,and the folder named data just in case matching sql credentials

then you patch the client with @Hycker files and edit the ip
and login into the game
i still cant create moonelf or dragonscion and the ai doesnt work(the enemies dont attack you)

The ai works in the release mode. And throw no errors, however it's true using more then 8gb ram.
About new classes, I'm working on it, in the initial release they are can't be selected.
Tbh to organise the development, we should ask for a dedicated section.

Got some trouble with provider coz the files. I just can't reach it from England (DNS error) tho, but the server is up and running and I can hit it from outside of england. I highly recommend to everyone to make mirrors from all necessary files. Sorry for downtime
