Hi people, I want to bring to your attention a game that died, the developers stopped developing it, but there are still people who would like to play, there is a server, but I can’t really start it or the client version is bad I don’t understand, but the server files work. If anyone is interested, let's make her work together:thumbup1:
Game Features:
* Multiplayer - The server is designed for 80 people
* Open World - Size of area: 8 km to 8 km (~ 3.1 square miles)
* Complete building and electricity system
* Fuel system and random events
* Craft and resource processing system - (such as cooking)
* Inside game card and VoIP
* Clan system - group with your friends.
* Vehicles - From jetski to large ships.
* Underwater intelligence - Diving is a good way to get resources, but you also need to go unnoticed!
* Agriculture, hunting and fishing
* Turret system - from machine gun to howitzer - to equip ships and strengthen the fortress.

Yes, I still saw that it requires some kind of Oxide2. But I turned the entire Internet and found nothing. :blink:

Client Hide & Hold Out 0.01.70
Here is the list of the notable modifications that come with the version 0.01.69!
IMPROVEMENTS:
- The server list now manages the official servers.
- The client and server perfs should be improved, especially the bandwidth usage.
CHANGES:
- FIXED: Dead bodies were spawning in the middle of the map instead of the player's death position.
- FIXED: Sometimes, a player can be found hanging in the air (usually inside a shipyard), in fact, it is a "ghost" of a connected player who is actually somewhere else in the game. The bad part is that killing the ghost will also kill the player...
Client and Player Command (V 0.10.11 testbranch & privatebranch)
{ word } => required
[ word ] => optional
Command Client :
-connect { host } [ port ] (connect to a server)
-disconnect (disconnect from a server)
-exit (leave the game)
-help (show command list)
Command Player :
-die (kill yourself)
-gps (show your position xyz)
-teamchange (switch team in battle mode)
Client

I managed to find a new client file

I think the clash happens because the main server is dead. No connection. The game closes.:/:

I don’t know, I’m trying to start the game initially so that the server works, if it doesn’t work, what's the point of changing the language ?!

The server is working but the client cannot join, I think this is an error caused by the fact that the client is out of date hmm ... I don’t know for sure
Re: Hide & Hold Out - H2o (Server)
I remember long time ago have do a server (french) of h2o ...
BUT
Using steamcmd you can download server since still aviable ( https://steamdb.info/app/377610/ )
for the client just ... buy it or ask friend to share him?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3...Hold_Out__H2o/
Once you have that , you need crack server AND client, you can use one of last CPY steam crack
When finish on client use command "connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" --> x = ip of server crack
For official tutorial -> https://steamcommunity.com/app/37714...0166693672063/
---> in fact i don't understend why a post for this on ragezone ?
Re: Hide & Hold Out - H2o (Server)
Server you shared in first post runs and waits for connections on port 8566, but it claims to be v0.10.11 Is there a client with the same version number?

The client is there, but the license is in incentive
Re: Hide & Hold Out - H2o (Server)
Keep in mind that updating a steam server for any game, does not always give the "correct" server version.
The server version is to be "updated" manually by the developer of the software in the configs to reflect correct versioning.
Unfortunately, this game (as many others) is not updated in the config file.
But the update to the server is the latest available as shown by viewing the steamdb.
IE: the server version "updated" is higher than reflected in the actual config file.
- - - Updated - - -
Side note:
The client and server for this game is only comparing proper client version, not server version.
(This is normal of steam servers for games hosted there)
Meaning, it doesn't matter what server version shows in the server config file, just that you ran the update from the steamcmd bat file and receive the final output, you have the latest server version blah blah available.
Most steam servers downloaded and launched, will show proper version in either the title bar or in console/log output somewhere.
The servers binary contains proper version.
It isn't a requirement to show version number or that the config file has the correct version, since steam only goes by the "latest commit" to the depot, and does not read any specific file to validate version.
Re: Hide & Hold Out - H2o (Server)
Damn that's some real stuffs there DNC, i'll watch this thread to see further works.
I would help but i can't and this looks great!

You’re right, it’s not any difference here which server which client just some functions are not available, but I want to tell you that everything was done as it should, but I get an error -129 when connecting, I read it, it probably says that I’m not using version of the game, but why buy it if it died I want it to be free for everyone and people to play. :wink:

Please tell me, besides me, is anyone else interested in this game trying to enter the game?

I want to say that the idea of the game is very good; everything is well planned; the game is invented; interesting; there are battles and PVP
Re: Hide & Hold Out - H2o (Server)
@askmyleg
Ah nice, you found the information about the newer client and oxide.
I ran across it last night and didn't get online to mention it.
I was going to mention that the original client in this thread is too old.
Glad you got the new version client w/oxide.
Also, it does seem like there are maybe 2 devs still working on this, but very very very slowly.
Last activity shown on Trello was December 5th 2019
There are 2 Trello sites (dev & bugs - links in spoiler block), you're more than welcome to view what they've got publicly showing there.
Second reason I'm responding.
Most people wont realize you've updated the initial post with a client/server/oxide.
Please consider removing the old client link and any other outdated information, so no one gets confused or starts asking about the wrong client / notes.

They don’t do anything, why did they write on the Steam main page that they don’t buy the game since the project is closed? :):

MESSAGE FROM DEVELOPERS Why early access?“We started to develop Hide & Hold Out more than two years ago.We left our jobs & studies to work full time on this ambitious project and managed to create something that is getting close to the idea we had at the beginning, by our own means, trying to not spend too much.
Re: Hide & Hold Out - H2o (Server)
@askmyleg
You missed the most important part.

I’m still planning to remake the entire game in a better way but not anytime soon I’m afraid.
Which means, its not finished.
Again, this isn't really a Release since you can get this on kotor for those that don't want to play official.
There's even a kotor steam group for that.
But they are still going forward.
Not a complaint on my part. Just pointing out this is not a dead project, just on hold long enough that they don't want anyone paying for the game, until they get working on it again.
No biggie. Just tossing it out there.
Anyhow, enjoy the game and cheers.

Just going to add this in my defense.
Releases that give cracked games aren't acceptable.
The Release at this point does in fact give a "crack" as you're posting Oxide dll / archive.
