Looks awsome but to expensive for me. Plus I have had my PS2 for about 2 years and I dont even play the thing, my computer does it all.
Ps2 are only for good game like Final fantasy and kh2
well that's all i use mine for....
I'll buy it if I have a job by then. But if I dont or I dont get paid as much then I'll wait for it to drop.

This confusion about the PS3's price is almost irrelevant as we already know, from the Sony chief no less, that it will be a very expensive machine compared to other consoles. If the prices mentioned yesterday by Mr. Fornay (see next page of this news story) are any indication, then the USD 499 tag that we mentioned yesterday seems even more likely. Reports coming from publisher-owned developers that have received the updated development kits also mention briefings during which the USD 499 price point was confirmed as final.
We cannot argue that compared to the space shuttle the PS3 may be cheap and offer Blu-Ray playback to boot but as a game console it will be expensive and fans will be glad for the launch delay offered by Sony, as they may need it in order to raise the necessary cash. If Sony is taking a risk with Blu-ray it may also be taking another bigger one with its lead in the video gaming industry.

Compared to X360's USD 299 and 399 price tags, the new Sony machine will have to carry all the extras for that kind of money although the price range given suggests that the USD 499, or whatever low end price they choose, model will not come with the full assortment of bells and whistles.
It suddenly appears that Nintendo's policy to release a console for under USD 300 and to make sure games are also cheaper than the current excessive next-gen prices, is not all that foolish and may give the company an edge over its rivals.
Well playstation 2 was not cheap either when it was new, it droped plenty under a period of a month, same will happen with PS3 i think.
Wow. . . Thats expensive man, I would have to donate 35% of my organs and my legs to buy one! I've never really had a console but now im looking at PS2's. Failing that I will just upgrade the good old computer abit.

What is Blu-Ray?
Sorta like next gen disks if you like... Im sticking with my trusty 360 ! I love the online play and I dont think playstion can beat it to I will not be getting a PS3.
I've heard it will be $399-499 but who knows.. If its too expensive I'll wait a while, sometimes its best to wait anyway because of the issues launch systems tend to have.. I have plenty of stuff to tide me over anyway.
you can play online with PS2 or PS3 also so dont say xbox better because of online playing. well u dont like PS's but i dont like XboX's because of their uncool controllers & stuff
Meh its like $659 CAD for the 60 gig harddrive. I think i might be getting that or keep the money for a body kit.
ill see if there are games i want on it before getting it at release and wait to hear for any problems with them. I almost got a 360 but decided there wernt enougth games i liked to play on it and there was a few problems with over heating and lack of the going around lol.
the xbox does have better online gameplay atm ps2 isnt very good to be honest but sony said the ps3 will rival xbox'x online capabilities for free i think, so that could be a good reason to buy it.
