Server Setup + Mu Toolz + Others

Now you must download SQL Server to create the main databases.You can download it here:

During setup follow the steps below:
Run Setup.exe and click Next 8 times.
You will see Services Accounts.
Choose Local System Account and press next.
Then you will see Authentication Mode window,set it to mixed mode and set the password sa.
Finally press continue the installation.

Another important folder you need to download is mu server.(Be careful this is not mu client).
This guide is for version 97D+99 so download the mu server here:

If you downloaded it put it in driver D:\

Now you need to change the ips from some files in the mu server.
Go to run and press cmd.Then you will see a window.Press ipconfig and you will see your ip.Copy your ip.
And go to D:\-mu server-cs.Open connectservelist with nopad and change the ip in the file to yor ip.Do
the same to these file.
D:\muserver/CS/data/connectserverlist/
D:\muserver/CS/data/serverinfo/
D:\muserver/CS/data/serverlist/
D:\muserver/data/iplist/
D:\muserver/data/lang/chs/commonloc/
D:\muserver/links/right click on 4 and 8 and properties.In link 8 there are two ips to change.

Now go to start/all programs/Microsoft Sql Server/Enterprise Manager/

In Enterprize Manager press this: + left of Microsoft SQL Servers.Do the same to SQL Server Group and the same
in (local)(Windows NT).Then select Databases.In databases right click and new database.Name it MuOnline and
create another new database and name it Ranking.

Now you need to restore them.Right click on MuOnline and All tasks/Restore Database.Restore as Select form Device,select Devices,add and then select MuOnline db backs in D:\Muserver\db backs\ and click ok four times.

Do the same with Ranking BUT in db backs folder don't select MuOnline but Ranking.

Click here and download ODBC.REG file:

jUST put odbc file in mu server folder and open it.Just click yes.

And only put it in mu server folder.

The last file you must download is mu online client 97D+99.

Extract it in the desktop.

Now go to D:\muserver\links.Open the eight links to open your server.Or you can use MuServer StartUp.This small
program will do automatically all this job.

To create accounts use mu editor.Be careful.For 97D+99 version you must have mueditor 2.1 or 2.2.No one will work.

Try to connect to your server.If you have disconnect download extreme mu editor(you will find it in ragezone releases).
Also to open extreme mu editor you need .net frameworks.Download and install it.

Now open extreme mu edit.Choose Edit and Preferences.Go to client path and select to open the client from the
desktop.Press ok.Now go to client(not in the folder,from extreme mu editor)and press analyze client.Now your server works 100%.

I have a prob...I join the server and it says "you are disconnected from the server". It says it on the top left corner. The server IS online because the launcher says it is and also because it doesnt have a box that says "Disconnected from server" is just says it on the top left corner...How do I make the "server list" that i can open up and enter the game with?

change all the global ips that u found from http://whatismyip.com

change it to your no-ip

Mu**.no-ip.org


NOW TO LINKS

go to link 4 and change your local ip to 127.0.0.1


go to link 8 and change the 2 local ips to 127.0.0.1


now your done

your lunacher should be changed to

port=44405

ip address= no-ip address u made

now get online and ask a friend to get online to see if its working

OK NOW FOR MUTOOLZ





In the first place download : AppServ
When u downloaded the ''AppServ'' u have to install it.
After that u go C:\ or D:\ where ever u placed it in and open the ''AppServ'' , open the ''www'' and delete all folders files etc. in there.

Than u need these files ( officialy created by johnd ) ! : Mutoolz2.2RC3

Replace these files in ur ''www'' and than u are done with that section.

Than u go : Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Data Sourches (ODBC)

Open it and go to System DNS press "Add" and Select "SQL Server" and press "Finish"

Name : Mutoolz

Description :

Server (What user u set in SQL to login) and "next"

Select With SQL Server authentification using a login ID and password entered by user.

Set there login "sa" and password for user "sa"

Then "Next" and set Database MuOnline

after "Finish" or "Next" "Test Data Source" and OK

If u have a router u should open the port : 80 TCP 192.168.x.xx ( ur lan ip )

Start ur Apache and my sql

Than go this site : http://localhost/install/install.php

if should come up Setup Mutoolz

STEP 4

http://change the url to your local ip if you want LAN website(no one can see but u)


document root: appserver/www

if you want WAN for everyone to see and register put in your global ip )everyone can see in around world)

you can find global ip at www.whatismyip.com

then WALA your mutoolz site should come up and your done

That is how you make a sucessful server and mutoolz for people to resgiter

Every thing fine,for now.Ok login server's there but when i click on the buton thats says mu server there comes the bar that show how many users are conected and when i click on that bar it Disconects me. can you help me any way.my server is almost done :D

Ahh it's all about D: drive even though you say D or C drive, can someone tell me what files i need to edit to use the C: drive as other wise the database thing comes up with an error
