My Xbox has started to have a rpoblem, wehn i try to eject the cdtray it sounds like its about to come out but it clicks....i took the top case half off and tryed to eject it again..same problem, i unscrewed the drive from the chassis and tried to eject and POOF, out it comes...can anyone help me?
like dose it come out the slightest bit then gose back in or dose it not move at all?... becasue if its coming out a slit bit there could be somthing in the way of it coming out like a screw or somthing...
No, it doesnt move at all, but it makes like sound like its trying to come out, oh yea, i should have mentioned before, my old drive died and this drive is one i received from my friend after he fried his xbox trying to put in a modchip, so its basically brand new, i know it wasnt fried becuase the drive was in a anti-static bag the whole time he was messing with it, they were both the same drive too, my old one was the thompson and it died, got the dirty disk errors constantyl, this one is also a thompson drive out of the same generation xbox and it is brand new.....
