What is it with all the eye avatars?

I see an increased number of avatars with an eye. You can copy me as much as you like but it'll never make you obtain my skillz and powerz. :59:

Btw, I was talking about similar avas, not exact copies.
As an example, there are Griffinheart and Jhewt with a very similar design.

If you meet an avatar on this forum with a significant resemblance to mine, please post it here with the name. Interesting to see how many there actually are.
