So lets say you have internet, and plenty of extra space on your memory stick. Can you put AIM(Aol Instant Message) on it? If so how would I access it through the PsP?
Thanks

i dont think u can get the client on it via memery card , also if u can u need a version that supports homebrew below 2.5
So Aim or MSN or Yahoo on PsP is hopeless?

If you have Firmware PSP version 2.5 or 2.6, you can downgrade back to 1.5. There, Im sure someone is developing homebrew MSN and Yahoo messengers. If not, above firmware 2.5, you have flash and java on the web browser, wich means you can run IE versions of it (there's one for msn, dunno for yahoo). BUT BE CAREFUL BECAUSE 2.7+ BLOCKS HOMEBREW. What does that mean? That you'll have to buy everything you want to use, and wont be able to run your own games if you can code LUA or C
The second one "PSPHacks Files - Viewing MSN For PSP" doesn't work, the download is ... down.Quote:

2.7 and higher doesn't block homebrew, there simply aren't any security flaws found that can be exploited to downgrade, but it's only a matter of time before Sony slips up again.
Oh and you should mention you need a old version of GTA LCS to downgrade to 1.5, or more specific to 2.0.
well... there is one way you can have IM... and that way it's WAP... 'cause Yahoo! recognizes this console as being WAP compatible... so... you can have Yahoo! Messenger as the one on your mobile phone... (btw... the wap includes other wap features as well)
Wouldn't MSN for a psp be pretty worthless? Since if you use the web on a psp, you type in like slow-mo. I tried to chat on it, on a web site, and when people started to type to me, it took me like 5 mins to type back. So I think that the idea of MSN on your PSP is SO STUPID!
if you dont have a PC around and really want to talk wth some1, it's useful.
i'm typing this on a PSP and it's not taking that long.
