I'm not going to start jumping on you
but DO YOU KNOW WHATS BDE ? do you HAVE it INSTALLED ?
YOU SURE YOU GOT THE CORRECT LOGING AND PASSWORD ?
Not even bothering sayinh where you should put the login and password
And if you didnt installed BDE then delete all files ,cos you failed to read the Guide
fckin christ man whats your problem i needed help not a screaming monkey, jesus. you coulda just said "oh you might need to install BDE or maybe u need to reinstall, or check your logins"
ok the solution to your problem is :
1. READ THE GUIDE
2. Inside the 7700 folder there is a file called tdb.ini.. it will be something like this:
[main]
title=A3 Account Server
keepalive=10
[dbconnection]
00=h3db00 A3ASD sa SQLPASSWORD account 0 1
and it get's repeated MANY TIMES ^
[socket]
port=7770
ASD is the DB, sa is the username is SQLPASSWORD is your sql password..
and like Akaruz said, pls make sure you have BDE installed..
i used a3serial and the password..
nono A3serial is for the A3itemevent db_onwer log in.. what is your SA username is password? you put that in...
in the files it already has a3serial then says changethis for pw
when you installed MS SQL, they did ask you for a username and password right? so if your username is sa and password is a3rock then;
[main]
title=A3 Account Server
keepalive=10
[dbconnection]
00=h3db00 A3ASD sa a3rock account 0 1
[socket]
port=7770
change it for all of them from 00 to 15..
same goes for the other 2 8880 and 9990
i know, but server files said this:
[dbconnection]
00=h3db00 A3ASD a3serial changethis account 0 1 << exactly that
00=h3db00 A3ASD a3serial changethis account 0 1 << exactly that
change (a3serial) to your username
and (changethis) to your sa password..
if you need to check simply go to Enterprise manager and click Security and then click on Logins
ahh thanks man, your a big help..unline some people..
nah np.. I also had to go through this once.. now I also have my own server running
#DB ( comment temporarily )
AccntCharDBServer=ASD
AccntCharDBLogin=a3serial
AccntCharDBPasswd=dkdlxpawprhdnpc
ok thats in srv info for acct serv, i know theres another one..so make that sa and pw too??
yeah..
thanks. sorry but im a slow learner/ bad guide follower :P
