If im not wrong, the worst thing that was ever done to a private server was blizzard sending out threatening e-mails... blizzard has never took any action (from what i know of) since many WoW servers are still online. I'm sure triglow just sent it to scare them. Guess it worked =/
Blizzard dosnt shut down private servers for 1 reason, there are Millions of WoW servers everywhere becouse the server files where made public, It would take billions of dollars to shut down all servers in the whole world.
Blizzard makes what 6 million USD per month on WOW subscriptions, PT dosnt make even 1/2 of that in a year.
its impassible, same with Linage 2, ragnarock and so on...
Right now PT server files are private, if they will be made public you will see many PT servers poping up with diffrent XP rates, events and so on, which will start a chain reaction that Blizzard has with WoW.

For legal reasons, ViPT associates are not releasing the server however we can't stop a leak from occurring, should one occur.
i see why they dont want to release the files....because triglow would realize "hey, we just shut them down and all of a sudden the files were released. it had to have been them"
i also see why people want the files released....but it will take some time. the server files will eventually be released to the public even if not from the ViPT staff, just wait.....go get a life, dont spend 24/7 playing games online, go get a job

For the fact that everyone is quitting EPT now because of their descision to shutdown the private servers will make them go poor. In this case EPT will HAVE to add some more events or drop the price. People are going crazy because people such as Utopian gave people a chance to experience a new and better pristontale that EPT can not compete with. It is sad how people can cry so much over a game, although I must admit it was great while it lasted. Soon enough IF the files leak and there are more private servers and TriGlowPictures can't go for them all at once.. EPT will have to make some derastic changes to keep players in-game. In this case EPT will soon be better than what it is now.

How about we meet on some other random forum, and PM the files around to each other there, and then all who are able should make a server, and all those who ask for the files, we publicly say no, then PM the files to him later, and keep everything within a large PM system, where it can't be tracked?

Depending in what country the server is in, the hoster of the private server can not be sued because the provider that provides the server with internet is not allowed to give any personal information about the customer.
Also, the whois information may only be used to contact it's owner regarding the domain and nothing else. If they sue someone with the information they got from a whois file, the prove voids.

vitalizept needs to distribute the emulator for all! for it is equal mu and wow.
As Utopia already stated here... there where only 3 servers up, and 2 of those are down already.
viPT and camzPT admins should learn with the creators of the 1st WoWEmu.
They created the emulation, but kept the code private. Then, Blizzard came all over them, their server was closed, and as far as i know they got fucked.
Meanwhile, another developer of an WoWEmu made his code OpenSource, so he became legaly untouchable. Whats the result? Now we got plenty WoWpvt servers to choose from.
And as already said in this topic, blizz cant do shit...
The problem i think is that ppl like to keep information to themselfs.
PristonTale is a lot older than WoW, LA2, and such, but while those games have a lot of pvt servers, and many diferent emulators, PristonTale have none.
You should ask yourselfs why.
Also, i wouldnt go trusting on viTP admins word like every1 here seems to be doing....
Let's not forget they started a server, in less than 2 weeks DEMANDED donations from players, even threatening to ban IP from those who didnt... and then all of sudden, they closed their server.... applying that they where facing legal issues... -.-"

I have to say that Triglow has won this round, but the war is far from over.
