Anyone know where to get a free version of this forum that exactly works and is easy to install? the only free ones I tried give errors..

I did use google, I couldnt find anything its all 'Order Now!' etc...

There is not a free version of vbulletin and IPB has been a commercial solution since fall 2004 and it's no longer free.
