HalfLife 2: Episode 1
Just purchase it the other day and i must say it had some really good features and lacked in other aspects.
Postives
- Graphics - The light effect such as sun which was out of this world
- Character Developement - Alyx had a funny sense of humour, but at times you could also feel "in the moment" of the action with her - eg: when she got caught by a "stalker".
- "dog" is the first thing you see - he really is a remakable AI creation.
Negitives
- Game time - Finished within 2 hours
- Left the ending open again for the next episode....
- was expensive for game play time.
I rate it 7.5/10

I thought the game was pretty good but nothing really new came out of it.
-
Hum, I was thinking about getting it.. Is it worth buying?
-
Wait for Episode two; an inside tip was that it comes with some new game features in Counter Strike: Source, as well, a suggestion by some company members, is to include episode 1.
-
because valve decided to make the rest of the game episodcial, you couldn't really complain about the game being "too short." It's just an episode it's not really a full game. You can expect the rest of the episodes to be just as short (but they're still fun as hell)
-
Yes, and it would probably be likely that the Episode 3 (final episode) purchase would include all 3 episodes, so it probably isn't worth splashing out just yet... which is why I'm waiting...
-
I heard that Half Life Episode 1 wasn't very good. I've never liked FPS games though, so I don't think I'd get it regardless of its reviews.
-
I guess ill hold out too then. :D

the trailer for the game looked abosolutly amazing! but once i played it, it was kinda crappy. it lasted only a few hours with not really much fun in it compared to HL2.
hopefully EP2 will be ALOT better lol
it better be
