OK i downloaded this gmclient file "jpclient_A.exe", but im not positive what to do with it. I just stuck it into my pt dir, and tried to run it, but i got a gameguard error. Ive been searching the forums with no luck, maybe i should look some more.
Ive already set config'd my hotik file in my server dir, and i can connect fine from a ept client. Want to use the admin commands though :)

just delete the file >> "GameGuard.des" and try to connect again.

In the compress file where you found the "jpclient_A.exe", there is a client-side "hotuk.ini".
Those two files should be put in the folder where you client PT game is installed. The hotuk.ini file have some command in it which prevent GameGuard to be launched.
Okay, so i have kind of the same problem. I just found here that the client side hotuk should have been in the Pristontale root folder. So i have done. Admin client starts, i get a login screen, but asd i am dutch, and not japanese, i think it says re-enter password/userid. I've put my id and pw in the accountdb, in the hotuk.ini in the server folder and in the ldata.bmp thing. Still, i can't seem to login. What is the problem? I cant figure it out. Please help me if you can.
