Man hits grenade with sledgehammer

Found this on another forum I use:

The only thing that came to mind when reading this was "WTF?!"

seriously how much of a brain does it take to know not to hit a grenade with a HAMMER.

I'd like to know how there can be unexploded grenades left in the workshop when the workshop was destroyed and several cars outside were on fire after one of them exploded.

And how the workshop was destroyed and cars on fire yet the other guy in the workshop who was clever enough to not hold the hammer escaped with burns.

Maybe I don't know well enough how grenads work...

I'm guessing grenades are protected against those sorts of things, and although in a way a human is fragile, in another way it can withstand much more then something like a car.
