I've recieved an email from GPotato (Publisher of Flyff and Space Cowboy) regarding to their new cool MMORPG. Closed beta starting this coming Sept.18.

The pets can be leveled up as well, with their own talent and job skills.

All this, along with a gorgeous 3D graphics engine, is sure to make Rappelz the new hit MMORPG of 2006-2007, and you won't want to miss your chance to be among the first players to experience it.

To start off, we will have an exclusive 7-day closed-beta session open to 2000 users.

Sign ups for the closed-beta session will be available from now until Wednesday, September 14th at 13:00 on the website rappelz.gpotato.com.

We will select the first 2000 users who come to participate in the closed-beta and we will notify those players via the website and e-mail on September 21st at 18:00.

The number of users can be increased without notice.

The actual closed-beta itself is scheduled for Monday, September 18th at 11:00 until Monday, September 25th at 11:00. During this time, we will be collecting data such as hardware and bandwidth usage and general game feedback.

Please note that all player data from the closed-beta session will be wiped on September 25th.

looks good, nice graphics. Is it gonna be p2p?

For what I know 2 of their games are free to play, some said this will also be free but they put item malls like Silkroad, 9Dragons, Hero Online, and other game out there but it just rumors . I hope it will.

The official CB account sign-up is closed on 14th. But you can try get one here, another CB account giveaway event. And you can enjoy the game on Sep. 18th. Hope to see you in the game ^^

Yeah the whole point of the game being released in English by GPotato was so they could make money off the game through a Cash Shop/Item Mall.

The premise of the game is that it relies pretty heavily on it's pet system, which I'm havign high hopes for, since that'd be pretty cool. Almost like a constant mini-party... in your pants.

I'm lucky, just yesterday received an email that I was chosen one of the Beta player.

:cries: mmo names have REALLY gone down. I wish the dev's put more thought into names than the "slap-magnetic-words-on-fridge" idea. Looks good, though.

I advise to download the closed beta client and updating with the patcher, the open beta one DLs at 25KB/s :/

I'm lvl 13 on the beta but from what i see it's a very fun game, pretty similar to Lineage II but free :P, the only bad thing is stamina, you have a stamina bar and it goes down every time you attack a monster, whilst your stamina is over 0 you will get 2x EXP but once it hits 0 your back to normal so it's pretty annoying, other than that a great game, recommended by me :P

can you change the damn graphics setting? I want to increase the res but i can't do anything.

also, i'm glad for the stam system, means we don't have to be allways grinding.

This game eats lot of memory and video memory. I've tried to play in 256mb memory damned when I was in town and lots of people its lags me every seconds you moved. I also tried to change video setting to very low stilll has no effect. You must have minimum at least 128mb video card and 512mb memory. I played this game at home using 256mb video card and 1GB memory. Run smooth and well.
