I copied other quest NPCs' gen code and it won't work. 0.o

I can do the guide, but this is the last thing. I added everything, the item, the dialogs, etc. but I just can't get the NPC to start the quest. -.-;;
well I haven't tried making quests yet so don't know... But generally, you should be calling some parameter from the NPCs dialogue that calls the quest's code. And there should be some conditions under which you see the quest or you don't... bah but I'm just taking this out of my head, haven't looked in it yet.
I decided to edit current quests and it worked. :D

i think .... that happens when u'r trying to complete a quest that u have already completed like trying to complete the 2nd job change, if u edit in db make urself a hermit then try and do the quest again it says that......
I dont understand his problem can you maybe explain it better because i got lvl 61- 65 quest with guide with items with the droprate etc etc full working maybe i can help ya :)
edit: ahh maybe i got it the parameter in the task-e is the xy coordinate from your NPC so if you give him the same parameter like your xy coordinates it should aktivate your quest
The xy coordinates is for the red dot to appear where you need to go to complete the quest.
I'm assuming it's the part in initnpc where the (quest 8008 1) or whatever you put. when you talk to the npc i assume you get given the 8008 quest with flag of 1.Quote:

BTW this is for the bird event modification. the eggs dropped from boxes. i was going to add them into normal monster droplists but i got a case of lazyness
Sorry my bird thing is neither a event or a quest. just uses the send quest idea. But easy enough to make it into a quest. with different items.

Sorry it's a little off topic. and the images you will have to make yourself. i used a enlarged bird buff image(buff096.bmp) and also one of the images already there that looks like a cool egg(item247.bmp) :)
