Existing CO private servers (includes IP addresses where needed)
This thread should basically be for all servers that ARE running, forget projects which might be up in a month or so.
This will also serve as a small guide as to HOW you get onto the servers.
I will ONLY tell you how to get onto the server one collective way which applies to all serverse UNLESS there is another method that you NEED to use, ok.
Firstly, probably the most well known CO private server, Qonquer;
To make an account/character on qonquer you need to go HERE(<click), anyone having trouble with validation emails canuse my personal account (Username: Mr.FleshCage Password: apocalypse) I'll get appropriate links to make it easier to make a character later, i want to get the whole guide up first
Goto your main CO folder (c:\Program Files\Conquer Online 2.0\) and open the file server.dat using a program like "WordPad", you will get a number of sections that look like this;

ServerName2=Aquarius

Each one of these sections is the information to access a specific server, the information i have coloured is uber important stuff that needs to be changed.
Please bear in mind that you can change the information for ANY server and it will work fine, just make sure that its a server that you dont use, for obvious reasons (like having a character on the server ;p)
The information that was coloured in the last example should be replaced with the following..

The server2 text, aswell as the ServerName2 and Ip2 sections should NOT change, only the information that comes AFTER the "=" signs, this is because that information is vital for the program to know which servers use which bits of information to establish connections
All that is really needed is the change in IP address, however a name change makes things a little easier ;)
Any other issues regarding Qonquer should be tackled on the qonquer forums.
The next server is one that is still in development, but is already up and running, with the programmer adding new quests, items, and other junk all the time, the name of this server? COWS (Conquer Online War Server)
Use the following link to download the installer for this, this installer doesnt affect your original installation of conquer and creates a new executable for the game(and places a shortcut on the desktop), it uses separate stuff because it incorporates user-made texture mods, among other extras (for new items, quests, etc)

Remember that this server is still in development, and as such you start as a level 130 trojan with all stats at 9999. Keep checking the COWS forum for information about updates
