Hello. Seeing as the game is soon gone and forgotten I'm proposing to make one last effort to revive it.
Translations will be our top priority. I'm studying chinese but I'm far from 'good' yet.
Anyone interested?
Regards,
DogZern.

Heh. So far I've translated the whole Login interface. Starting on Ingame interface now.
Contact me at axel@strawberrypt.net (MSN).
leave it RIP
So you're translating NPC's too ?
Looks really good, I hope you'll finish it :)
Good luck !
I believe the NPCs are the most important factor. Item/NPC/Monster names has already been translated. Reason why no one plays the game (Other than the fact that finding the files are hard) is that .. they won't understand the game.

Unless you can do some major code editing to this game, you may as well leave it. All your translated text space is limited, and if you are indeed learning Chinese, than you should understand it takes a lot more characters to say just about anything in English than in Chinese. You get two characters of English for every single character of Chinese. This still is not enough space.
Additionally, the game is very incomplete. There are many maps that have exits that just route you back to where you went in them, and I am willing to bet that as you translate more of this game, you will find more problems.
However, if you wish to continue this, I will donate my mostly-complete login and interface graphics.
Already translated the login/interface. Thanks for the offer though.
Of course it's hard to 'limit' the language but you gotta keep it short.
Taarna, I added you on my MSN for further discussions seeing as you know quite much about the game.
Well, it didn't tell me anyone added me. Regardless, as your server is new, you also haven't come across the issue of nothing gets written to the database until the server is shut down. So, to put it nicely, if you run the server for a week, and it suddenly crashes, you lose a week of everything. Players get pissed and want their characters restored. People stop playing because Their characters regularly get bumped down. This is the primary reason the last AO server failed.
Taarna, add me axel@strawberrypt.net
Well, Jackal already explained that problem. My solution is similar to another game, Tibia.
Server save 7 o'clock every day.
