I've been living in Salford, Manchester, for about a month now and the one thing that all my flat mates and friends comment on is that the tap water tastes funny. Now I know lots of you will cringe and say "Eeww, drinking tap water is nasty", I say screw you, if it doesn't kill me and it's free it can only be good.
The water here really does taste funny and I have no idea why, I'm going to have to deal with it for the next 3 years aswell :S
I feel depressed, someone give me a hug :(

tap water isnt free... thats why you have a water meter =-P it tastes funny because different places have different levels of minerals in the water, "if its brown drink it down, if its black... send it back"Quote:

can be to do with the amount of flouride put in the water too
flouride isnt good for u at all, infact the only good studies done have found that it can lead you towards suggestion more easily, but even they arnt eprfect studies

There was a new report on TV not so long ago, that our local water was contaminated with worms. (In my area) My mates mum used to drink NOTHING but diet coke rofl.

Some areas are really bad. When my sis was away at uni her supply was rather crap. IE brown 0o. My advice is to buy a filter system, there not too expensive these days and they really do make a diffrence. I use one on my pretty dam clean supply and it does taste alittle better, means i dont have to keep buying 5L bottles of water i used to. Though i still do and fill it up so i dont have to go out of my room for a drink :p
m water can actually form a thin crust of limescale ontop of anythink that it gets on. which is whi i have bigstrong bones
it isnt so bad where i live I can brush my teeth and drink it but ok the taste isnt very good.

yea it completely depends on whats in it. when i went to Poland over the summer, the water was completely different than it is in New York.

Ehh just wanna post a bad experience here... When I was at my friends house here in USA, PA his pipes weren't contaminated but his water had a rediculous level of Sulfur (Which isn't good) it smelt horrible and you could litarlly smell the sulfur in the water even if you stood like 10 feet away from the cup filled with it... Nasty; I left the next day of course :rotflmao:
