[PC]Non-Repetative Games?

Hmm. Do Non-Repetative Non-mindless games exist? I mean games where leveling and questing isn't the only objective. God dammit. Despite how remotely fun games like Silkroad or Hero Online are. They just get fucking boring. I find this is the problem in all games i play. All there is for you to do is act like a mindless drone and kill for several hours at a time. There is no fun in that after you do this for several long periods at a time.

Anyone got any good games where Grinding/Questing isn't the only way for you to play the game or become powerful, etc? I want something different. =/

the only games in wich i have fun grinding are those where you can hit multiple mobs without paying buttloads of mana. Mu online and Conquer online are pretty good at this.

but the point of a MMORPG is allways to lvl, wether you like it or not...

Lol I also feel this.. Guess why I stopped with wow :P

I get bored in wow because everything is so fking HUGE. you have to walk for 10 minutes till you find the npc you want in a major city. it's boring.

in an mmorpg what are u going to do other than grind, quest or pvp?

sure u can role play but arnt u really doing that all the time anyway?

Well I think teleporting is super gay and walking far is a good idear it makes more realistic so at least your not waisting your time leveling but walking :p

Well I heard that there are a few games that will come out in a while that should be much more entertaning where it will change a lot but I duno its just rumours :p
But in thos games you will need to run lol.

ifu class questing as boring then no u cant :P

questing is a pretty broad term though man, u can go killing bosses, hunting items, solving riddles etc

Your going to love the new vanguard then. No teleporting at all!

Looks like its going to be rather cool, they focused alot on the transport aspect of the game, like you can own boats and equip them with guns and fight pirates on your way to new islands. The world is also HUGEEEE :p

GuildWars, make a PvP character. Start at level 20 then, no reason to quest. Although you don't get all the skills etc.

There needs to be something new aside from the usual quests in games though. (Killing a certain amount of mobs or getting items)

i cant really think of anything that hasnt been done yet :(

kill x amount of whatever
take x item to x area or npc
visit x area
create x item

youre thinking too linearly, thats how the games like wow are training you to think. thats not an rpg. heck imo wow is almost the same thing as mu. what these people are talking about are mmorpgs or w/e forget genre, are games where you can really explore vastly differing areas of gameplay and basically do anything you can think of within a system that still keeps it ballanced. think along the lines of oblivion but one or two generations after =P bye bye grinding.. hello reality.

you can still have a huge world without it getting boring. In Guild wars you just clicked in the town or outpost and you were there.

You could always step out the MMORPG side of gaming! :O

You could play the draw stickmen in paint game. :D

Lego Star Wars 2, FPS games?, Guitar Hero or its clones on the PC (Frets on Fire, Freetar Hero or PC Guitar Hero Clone)..

That flash game 3 second fury or something, change in game every three seconds. ;)
