I happen to love using kobold. Something about the system is more friendly, and caught up even past others. Very happy with it...and I'm VERY picky.

MaNGOS is my fav after trying them all, found it to be more stable and reliable than kobold, and far less of a pain in the ass to set up.
MAngos without an doubt ... And the difrens between cobold and MaNGoS well the py scripts are packed in mangos sorse while the kobold´s are not and besides that both are bassed on the same wowd sorce .
But me personaly find mangos bether with regular updates :)
Mangos fan as well. Simply due to its small memory footprint and simple setup.
I found Kobold is becoming another wowemu i.e. lots of files required and a semi-painful setup process plus as good as it is, its got its own fair share of problems (not to mention the amount of resources it hogs).
However as I have mentioned before, both emu's are only as good as the data being used so more work is needed on the db/script side to get a emu that creates a fully playable world.
I have noticed the setup guide differences, even though the setup of the mangos website can be a pain, if you have never worked with it before
