- Navicat - (navicat.com)

Install WoW and upgrade to 1.12.1
Install Burning Crusade Beta client build 5991
Install MySQL and Navicat
Extract WinMPQ

Extract the Mangos TBC Emu intro any DIRECTORY you want.. as long you remmeber it.

After that take AD.exe copy it intro your WoW 1.12.1 root DIRECTORY where wow.exe is then create a folder called "maps" whitout the quotes in the WoW 1.12.1 root DIRECTORY, then execute AD.exe wait a few min depending on your computer speed.

When AD.exe is done, copy the "MAPS" directory from WoW 1.12.1 and put it in the Mangos TBC root directory where mangosd.exe and realmd.exe are.

**NOTE** i am using enUS as a exemple here.
Open WinMPQ now and open "/Data/enUS/locale-enUS.MPQ from TBC Beta DIRECTORY, select all the DBC files and extract them intro the Mangos TBC emu root DIRECTORY then rename the DBCClientFile DIRECTORY to dbc.

Second Step: ZOMG WTF is MySQL!? /

Assuming you have MySQL installed and Navicat to make the job easier. open Navicat and make a connection to your MySQL Server.

Create a database for your World server, any name can be used aslong it dont contain spaces and create an other one for your Realm server.
This can be done by Right-Clicking in the left box it will bring a menu like in the Fig. 01 Image.


Right-Click on your world database and choose "Execute Batch File.." (Fig. 02) find your world server SQL file. ( mangos.sql )
(IMPORTANT)Wait till mangos.sql is done Executing it should takes few mins.
Right-Click on your realm database and choose "Execute Batch File.." (Fig. 02) find your realm server SQL for the realm server ( realmd.sql )

DO NOT FORGET! to change the realmlist ip in the realm server database the default included in the compboy SQL is "dotawow.ath.cx" you must change it for 127.0.0.1 or your IP.
*OPTIONAL* in the realmlist table you can change the name of your server.

Now if you did evreything correctly it should look like this in Navicat... This image is only an exemple
bcemu is the World Server Database in this image.

Third Step: Configuring Mangos /

Go intro your mangos TBC emu folder and find those files called "mangosd.conf" and "realmd.conf"

For Mangosd.conf change the info so it match MySQL info

LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;user;pass;world_server"
WorldDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;user;pass;realm_server"

For Realmd.conf change the info so it match MySQL info
**NOTE** The LoginDatabaseInfo line should be the same as the line from Mangosd.conf


# Database connection settings for the realm server.
# Default: hostname;port;username;password;database
LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;user;pass;world_server"

Save those files and Run Mangosd.exe and Realmd.exe and that should be it.
FAQ

Q: How do i make an account ?
A: You can make accounts from the mangosd.exe console by typing create "account" "password" whitout the quotes and set your account as gm with setgm "account" "level" still whitout quotes and the levels are...

0 - User (Default)
1 - Mod
2 - GM
3 - Admin

Q: What ports do i need to open ?
A: 3724, 3725, 4200 and 3306 *but i might be wrong* those are the ports i used for lud so it should work for mangos too.

Q: The .go command dont work HELP!
The .go command parameters are changed. Just move the mapid (the first number of the alpha locations) to the end. It should work fine.

EX:
.go AAA BBB CCC DDD -> .go BBB CCC DDD AAA

Stairway of Destiny:
.go 530 -247.0472 938.1437 84.3426 -> .go -247.0472 938.1437 84.3426 530

TEMPORY FIX
till theres a better database...

Blood Elf Model Fix: (rapidshare.de/files/37167484/playercreateinfo.rar.html)
Fixed Tier 3 for BE and DE: (rapidshare.de/files/37113279/item_template.rar.html)

- To install Blood Elf fix delete the current playercreateinfo in your world server database and "Execute Batch File..." the fixed playercreateinfo.sql
- To install Blood Elf fix delete the current item_template in your world server database and "Execute Batch File..." the fixed item_template.sql

This looks promessing but keep in mind that it is not an official mangos release and can have aditional bugs and so on . But it looks ok ... Dint test it and Wont test it till mangosteam itself will oficialy suport it :P

i would test it but i havent been working with mangos i cant get it working i start mangosd and it closes

try to start mangosd over "cmd" dos console... then you can read the errors..

ok i have succesfuly loaded mangos server worcks fine but need to edit dranei and blood elf's for their skills

so hey guy's i had need 4 hours to install this emo... 4 hours after this time I see, what I see is.... MOBS DON'T SPAWN! why can't anyone write this before everbody installs this emu....

mobs spwans every where except outland and new maps !!!

but, if I create an character it doesn't wear clothes... whats up? I don't know how I can fix it anyway... hmmmmm... can anyone tell me how I can fix this problem... it would be nice if anybody knows it... xD

this emu acts like a sandbox for blood elves and dreanis..no stats...no levelup...no items...no skills...no any form of chars...w8ing for someone to post a new races DB update:) too much work for me to edit all by myself sry

Worked very well for me. I am working on spawns and item fixes right now ill release my db when I am done.

Well i will proberly first spawn it with some mobs already in til som1 will have all items mobs etc in an full blown TBC DB ow and for those who dint read that whole topicc TBC source is also aplyed to MaNGoS trunk ;)

what the hell is "MaNGoS trunk"??? can you tell me what it is?

where can i find these source file directorys? =)) and is it hard or easy to edit MaNGoS...?

I am having a problem trying to connect to mysql server. I have mysql server running and I open a dos prompt and try to run mangosd.exe and it says,

ok i fixed it I just had to set it to localhost and change my hosts file localhost entry to my real ip.

any word on an updated tbc mangos database?

um... the SQL Files are dead so i cant use them on navicat- nor can i extract them.

hello, so i'm trying to set it up the server, but i cant. The First problem is my ad, when i execute it a menssage come, its kinda like that "error opening archive ..." and it closes, so i tryed to use the mapextactor, and it has make its job...But when i try to open mangos, it closes too..so i decide to see the log file and there a menssage appear " ERROR:Map file 'D:\WoW TBC\debugV3[1]/maps/0004331.map' is non-compatible version (outdated?). Please, create new using ad.exe program"...so, how it would be possible, if my ad, dont work...someoneeeeeeee helpppppp me, pleaaaaaaaaaaaase....

any word yet on an updated areatriggers.sql/playercreateinfo.sql files for the tbc mangos DB?? many MANY bugs with current release...
