How many disks, how much total and how did you partition it?
I got my new 320GB HD last week so now I total ~500GB.
180GB is divided to 3, 1) linux 2) ext3 storage for linux 3) 2gb partition for xp pagefile
320GB to: 1) xp 25gb 2) a huge ntfs storage 3) 3gb linux swap
I have roughly half free atm, could be a lot more if I cared to remove useless stuff.
I have a 40gb hdd. 10gb left.:frown:
isn't this meant to be in the hardware section :P.. well I've got a 40gb and I'm about to reformat and change OS to Windows Media Center =]
i have a total of 115gb but only got around 11gb left
Total of 320GB (120GB and 200GB) with 150GB left, going to buy another 200GB Hard drive though soon.
Nah I don't see why this should go to hw, it's just for general discussion just like you can discuss how many pets people have.

I'm surprised by how little people tend to have. I can't imagine below 150gb being sufficient, I just like to dl all sorts of stuff and forget about them, then have fun finding them at some point. No, jeez it's not full of pron.

Yeah, anything under 150gb is just too little space. I used to download over 100gigs per week, kinda busy with my new gf atm. This new pc is 220gb and I have 2 100gig externals, so 420gb for me. Windows Media Center owns.Quote:

I have 1 250 gig and it's partitioned with a backup copy of the first day I installed my os :D
250 Gigs here.
SATA1: 250gb with 186gb free. Use this for my XP boot drive.
SATA2: 250gb with 75gb free. Use this for my storage drive.
I also have a spare 250gb IDE drive in my closet. I want to hook it up to my computer but it conflects with my stupid opticals and SATA drives. Stupid motherboard as I need more storage space.

this comp has a 190gig with usually 10gb+ free however i do try and keep 20+ free so i can go crazy and download loads of crap without worrying

my mate has 5 diff drives each about 300gb... fills them with every eppisode of every series imaginable... tho he has 40gb bandwidth whereelse i only have 15

- C:\ named Boot which has all my applications, microsoft visual studio, photoshop etc, you get the point. 34.6GB Used 43.4GB Free 78.1GB Total
- D:\ named Junkies, all my games I play go there, including Videos and Music, it's a multimedia storage. 45.1GB Used 23.3GB Free 68.4GB Total
- E:\ named Recover, which has an image of my fresh installed windows xp with my configuration and applications. 1.68 Used 766mb Free 2.43 Total
160gb total. 165mb left
