WOWemu is now useless, because there are no more new official releases of it, now its only slowly dying, and very stupid is that it need fucking cracked clients and addons to run it... Now there are much better emulators such as mangos and kobold, they are more completed and you need only retail client to run it well. Kobold is number one atm...
WoWemu = 4 n00bs ( rocks )
Ludmila = for expiriance installers ( Dunno )
MaNGoS = 4 Evryone between that ( and ofcorse ROCKS )
What ever the aim might be deside it for yourself if it rocks or not ;)
wowemu = piece of shit.. only usefull for custom servers...
Ludmilla = Would be nice if the devs woudnt be such selfish fuckups and cap the emu and not release a DB with it ..
Mangos = Da Shit ... the future of wow emus... open source... very helpfull ppl.. and it has many fixes
well judging from the question your a noob to emu's..
so go with WoWemu to start, then Mangos after learning a thing or 2, then graduate up to Kobold (which by then..should have decent scripting and DB in place).
WoWEmu: Dead , but EASY to setup and play casually
Mangos: Under development, usually solid performance..usually. Need to know MYSQL and tools for it.
Kobold: Under Dev, more stable then Mangos (ATM) and has more capabilities right off the bat! Need to know MYSQL, tools, some small scripting required.
WoWemu will teach you the basics and is good enough for casual gamers. Hardcore should definitely look to Kobold until Mangos gets more capabilities.
---just my opinion...:drinks_no
