Bypassing A3 Updater

Is it possible to bypass the a3 updater and just load straight into the game?

A friend of mine was able to connect find yesterday but now today he is unable to connect and its not the server cause it works fine for me and others

any ideas?

well, u can do it by starting ftp server in ur system, set ur system
name to the updater ftp name (add entries to hosts file). create
the updater directory with latest version to your version. And thats it
u have skipped updater without doing any change to a3server.

or set his firewall to allow
a3.exe
a3updater.exe
